My favorite old lady : Miss Marple

    Miss Marple

Miss Marple is becoming my top favourite old lady in the world. She don't move as speedily as Sherlock Holmes with the brilliant partner Dr Watson but I especially love the way of her solving and revealing a crime over a cup of afternoon tea.

Who is Miss Marple? A fictional character by Agatha Christie. She is called Jane Marple usually referred to as Miss Marple. An elderly spinster ( old maid) who lives in the village of St. Mary Mead and is sort of a amateur detective. She is a very stereotype old English lady of around 60-70 years old. Dressed in tweed, cardigans and a little hat and busying knitting or reading. She is such a cute adorable old lady from the outside but sharp logical mind on the inside. She got such great understanding of human nature with all its weaknesses, strengths, quirks and foibles. In the detective story tradition, she often embarrasses the local "professional" police by solving mysteries that have them stumped.

It is such a great joy to curl up on the bed and enjoy a good tv drama of Miss Marple or the Novels. I am planning to get some Miss Marple books this Christmas. ^^~~ Can't wait to get to the bookstores. One of the horrible things living in the rural country side is you can't get the things you want easily. It is first time in my life I can say:" I have all the money but there is nothing to buy!" Really. Sometimes this can seriously get on the nerve and make life very stressful and unhappy. You just wanna get a simple thing that can be bought in any store but here???????? Oh my. You can drive through the whole town search every single store and you may not even get a glimpse of it.

Miss Marple's sweet little cottage. I am afraid the picture below did not do full justice of the wonderful house.

Through some googling and surfing I stumbled upon a Miss Marple game. Kind of fun in a way if you are bored to death and nothing to do and with a good pair of sharp eyes. I strained and tired my eyes out trying to search for the tiny things in the pictures. I guess it will be what most people called a waste of time game. :P But I like it. It is kind of fun and the pictures are beautifully detailed and the game does follows the novel closely.

4.50 from Paddington is one of my favourite stories too. Miss Lucy is brilliant!

Ooh...I am sneezing the whole night. Weather here is really chilly and cold. My bed is so cold that I got to dry to use 2 blankets and resort to wearing jackets. And guess what ? I am freezing in Malaysia which is famous for its humidity and heat.
