Favourite Disney Character: Donald Duck

Childhood days always goes hand in hand with cartoons and story books. Due to the release of the 'oldies' I get to watch back all my childhood favourite cartoons. The Disney movies and my favourite Donald Duck.

Donald Duck is a cartoon character from The Walt Disney Company. Donald is a white anthropomorphic duck with a yellow-orange bill, legs, and feet. He usually wears a sailor shirt, cap, and a red or black bow tie, but no trousers (except when he goes swimming). Donald's most famous trait is his easily provoked and occasionally explosive temper.

According to the Disney canon, particularly in the 1942 short Donald Gets Drafted, Donald's full name is Donald Fauntleroy Duck. Donald's birthday is officially recognized as June 9, 1934,^[2] the day his debut film, The Wise Little Hen, was released.




War time Donald. Cute little Donald Duck. I always love the way he weird ducky sounds, the big snow white backside. It is so cute. Compare to Mickey....I am just not that into Mickey. He seems to be a bit fake, unrealistic. Oh....this reminds me of the SEGA game we used to play. The Disney adventures of Mickey and DOnald. I remember brother and I sat in front of the TV and struggling to go through all the obstacles in " Alice in the Wonder land". Where I will use Donald and brother use the character Mickey, two of us help each other ( like letting down a rope for another to climb up a tree, jump over ships in the sea, wonder around huge huge cakes, the Giant world, been chase by Ace Cards of Queen of Hearts. ) it was indeed a great video game for kids.

Donald making fun of Mickey. No matter how popular that Mickey is in the Mickey Mouse Club, I still love my cute little ducky best. Guess it is also deal to the fact that my nick name as a baby is Donald Duck. Short chubby legs walking around a big white pampers. Donald Duck and I got similar big backsides then. How good were those carefree days. All I need to think and worry about is my school work and what is next on cartoon channels. I still remember the best is during the holidays especially Christmas. Brother and I will be happily setting up Christmas tree and watching cartoon whole day long. The olden day cartoons are more meaningful and comprehensive. The modern day cartoon??? Frankly speaking I seriously do not know what the cartoon is trying to convey. Everything is up side down and all messed up. In my opinion, cartoon is mainly for kids to enjoy and learn some wisdom and life. At least in Disney they still teaching the kids what is the Good and Bad. Some other cartoon is totally meaningless and teach the kids bad things. Install them with sadistic ideas of bombing the school, bullying the teacher. The authority are fools and they themselves are the justice.

No wonder crime rate of any sort is getting higher among younger age group. Personally if I have a kid I won't let them watch some cartoons. Bad influence and pollute the mind. Teaching kids the idea of hacking, terror risk, rape, gang fight, suicide group, etc etc etc....the list can on as everyday you open newspaper there will be at least 1 bizarre case about young kids now a day. Just that day I saw in newspaper, 14 year old girl video the rape of her friend by her boy friend. I got so disgusted by that information I almost regurgitated out my just swallowed orange juice.
Seriously it is very very annoying and horrifying to read about such news. Which is not unfamiliar ever since the digital age kick in and everyone got a hp. Sometimes I wonder what the world today has come to????

New LayOut!!

*^-^* New Lay Out!!! Today I am glad to announce that I got myself a new lay out which I really love! I have a great weakness for coffee, stationery, diary, pens, books, papers, journals, library, cafe, magazines, bookmarks and mugs. I was jumping around dancing with joy at this new lay out. It is totally my cup of coffee with heart-shaped creamy pattern in it. Been always wanting a 3 column style and finally got it after whole morning's hard work. As I am kind of not so pro in html editing.

Real glad and happy with the result. Below is just a comparison between the new and old. The old one is white , simple and clean with a dash of vibrant colours.




The new one is just like I always wanted it to be. My very own little coffee desk with my journal online.


I can't wait to jot down all the happy things in life. I decided to keep this blog as a record of my life. Of which when at 70 years old I can sit down look back at it and have a good laugh with my friends. How silly we were, how hardworking we were, how hot-blooded we have been, how naive and how young we were etc etc...

It has been my habit to open up the various online newspaper first thing in the morning. Reading all the headlines while I brush away. It may seen weird ( yucks to some ppl) to brush teeth while surfing. I prefer to multi-task - it is the specialty of women. *^-^*~~ My this special technique of brushing and walking around with tooth brush in my mouth amazed my friend. She wondered how I manage to do it. Bubbles and slimy stuff will be dripping down from her mouth if she do the same. Haha~ All I can say is : I wonders too.

KUALA LUMPUR: Every married person knows it, but a local study has confirmed it – mothers-in-law are the chief cause of divorces, especially in the Indian community.

Data in the Malaysia Community and Family Study 2004 by the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) revealed that “meddlesome in-laws” is the number one reason why Indian couples get divorced.

It is also among the top three factors for divorce among the Malays and Chinese. The other two factors are incompatibility (42.3%) and infidelity (12%).

The forever never ending mother-daughter-in-law saga has been going on for ever since there is written human history. Open up ur tv: Chinese, Malay, Indian, Korean, Japanese, US, British...etc. How many dramas from different countries and different cultures base their story line of this? Answer is : 100%.

For my own Chinese culture, it is a famous matter of fact thing that mother-in-laws love to find trouble with daughter-in-laws. Reason: Too many some even too ridiculous to mention because if you hear it I am afraid you might not be able to breath from laughing. Remember those Chinese dramas about poor little daughter-in-laws being bullied by monster-mother-in-laws? And how popular those tv dramas become. Everynight all the housewives in the country will be watching it and nodding their heads as the story progress. They finds sympathy in these types of shows.

I am very glad that my own grandma is a very nice and generous person who don't find fault with people just for the fun of it or to prove her authority in the family. Every Qing Ming when the Chinese sweep their graveyards. Everyone have great memories of her as a great lady and how we miss her. But likewise I do hear all sorts of stories about monster mother-in-laws around. Their range of scary stories are true horros. Their fate: rich or poor, pretty or ugly, famous or not. They all die alone. Nobody wants to be with them. Only a few who felt it is their duty or for the sake of face accompany them. They got what they do not want the most: to be alone. This is just all facts I hear from people around. Actual fact? Not too sure, but base on this random data it could be 80% accurate.

This is a real issue in the society. I heard of aunties mensioning their world famous monster-mother-in-law who got black listed by some air-lines. Wow.... Sometimes as someone from the side you can see. The couple are happily married with 2 kids with good income and enjoy their life. Go to Church and visit their in-laws every weekends. It seens like a normal peaceful family but why do these mother-in-laws become monsters? They just brought the whole family into dispute and not only earning themselves a bad name. The whole family was broken up into pieces thanks to them.

Right now even conservative country like Malaysia news also report:

This means that there are quite a big percentage of monster mother-in-laws then. Oh wow... From what I see and hear it is around 30% but it is a lot already. Guess it really depends on your luck. So...girls beware.

Ultimately everyone wants to be happy. But giving other people a hard life you will never get what you want. Instead you might lose it all. Remember the fate of those monster-mother-in-laws in drama? Desperate Housewives: Gabby's mother-in-law die in a hit and run accident, Chinese drama : suffer major illness and finally got to herself and reformed to be a better person. Everyone have a happy ending. Why people write such scrips? Maybe thats the wish of majority viewers. Make those monsters disappear.

I hope all married people have a great life and parents who got son and daughter-in-laws treat them well. They are your own sons and daughters too not just by law. Thats the ultimate gate way to happiness. You give punch you get a slash back. You give a smile you get a hug back.

Some years ago a guy wrote this to a girl. The girl always remember this for the rest of her life. She cherished it like the most precious thing in the world.

What a relief

Happy Day for me. As a chronic sufferer from horrible annoying vasomotor rhinitis and allergy rhinitis simultaneously. I am constantly having flu. Especially in times like this, with H1N1 or Influenza A whatever they want to call it. I may easily be held quarantine anytime becoz of my running nose. (scary-_-)

Vasomotor rhinitis is believed to be caused by oversensitive or excessive blood vessels in the nasal membrane. It causes an overreaction to such stimuli as changes in weather, temperature, or barometric pressure, chemical irritants such as smoke, ozone, pollution, perfumes, and aerosol sprays, psychological stress and emotional shocks, certain types of medications, alcohol, and even spicy food. I have experienced all the above. Walking under the sun and into a cold air-con room: sneeze...... Eating a bowl of hot and spicy soup: sneeze....

In general, age of onset of vasomotor rhinitis occurs after 20 years of age, in contrast to allergic rhinitis which generally appears before age 20. But Many patients can be subject to vasomotor rhinitis and allergic rhinitis simultaneously like Me. Teary eyes, running nose.

I am allergic to dust, environmental matters, particles, chemicals ( i am not sure which). As sometimes, just out of no where my arms felt itchy and I start scratching and rashes will appear. I just got a feeling I am allergic to hot weather. My neck and arms will be red with itch and rashes if I am too hot.

Due to prolong use of antihistamine pills, it has no effect on my poor nose anymore. Just the other I saw this: Sinoclear. A lot of people advice me to try out some decongestant spray. So I bought it have a try. Result: Not bad. Very satisfactory actually. Within 5 mins of spraying and clearing my nose. All my signs and symptoms are gone. No more sniffing, headache, running nose. Girl's Things

Here, I am just sharing with my friends and anyone who came across my blog some products I have used.

Girl's Things session: Hair Product.

This only applies to girls with flat, limp hair that don't have any volume. My hair is super flat, straight and fine. I have a lot of fine hair so when the weather is humid all my hair become flat. Look as I don't have much hair. To solve this problem, I have to perm my hair all year round.

Recently, I have been using Bead Head shampoo ( the hot pink bottle) , not bad. I quite like the effect, it makes my hair thicker, can stand up, looks more volume but a bit rougher to the touch.

The yellow bottle on the left is Volume Water. Spray a bit at the root of your hair and start rubbing and mess up your hair. After 1-2 mins, there you go. You have your voluminous hair. I love this product. Very useful.

Through my observation, I noticed Malaysia girls are addicted to thin, flat hair when a lot of girls from other countries are in to big curly hairs. I myself love wavy hair too. More sexy and make the person prettier.

Skincare: Laneige

Korean skincare. I find that I prefer Japan or Korea skincare more than western Brands. As it is more targeted and suitable for Asian skins. Recently my purse just cried and vomit blood to this: Star White set. As I still have other products so I bought only the toner and that sleeping hydro gel. I got a whole range of samples too. So I decided to use the whole set together and see. After 1 week....my face is white and very hydrated. Seems like my skin respond well to this brand. Now problem is.......my face so white my body so dark. How??? -_-....

p/s: these are alcohol free. ^^~~~

As for make up, as long as it is of reputable and tested brand I am fine. Meaning as long as it is not some unknown cheap brand of unknown chemicals. I don't like to spend too much on make up as I seldom make up. But I am careful with foundations and sun block. Careful not to clog up the pores and against UV lights.

Below is pink Maybelline blush blush. I use it less than once a week. Just to give me a bit of colour when I look too pale. That empty bottle is a very useful traveling tool. Just place required amount of body products into it and no need to carry big bottles around. Oh this remains me of the immigration check points in Airport. Now adays due to those horrible people who bomb up planes, placing explosives anywhere ....we the normal good civilians end up with lots of hassels.

New Find in Taiwan: Magic Hair Sticker.

Guess a lot of girls are like me, got long fringes that might be a bit irritating when u are doing work. Usually I use hair clips, hair bands or hair pins. But it always give my hair a bad shape and painful at times.

Lala~~~ This is the new invention that I love a lot ever since I found out about it and finally I got it. This black little piece of magic hair sticker.

Pull up ur hair hold it and press that piece of black thing down on to ur hair. It will hold it in place. Very comfy, light, effective.

Press it down and hold and let go.

Just like this. See. No matter how u shake ur head it will not fall off easily. The best part is no pain, no weight, no stress at all and...........after u take it off : Your hair bounce back to normal. No change of shape or marks leave on ur hair. (*^-^*)<<<< Isn't that great???

Compassion for fellow human beings

A person's life values and perceptions are mostly influenced by their parents and surroundings. This is a well-known and once again proven fact. I was watching TV today and saw this talk show about parenting. One Japanese lady said:" Once my dad bought a $300 000( TW dollar) car and drove out met an accident. The whole car was totally useless after that. Just sent to recycle." Miraculously her dad was unharmed without even a scratch. But for such an expensive new car of course everyone will at least feel a bit heartache right? But the first thing her mum said was:" Thank God. Your dad is fine. Anything else doesn't matter we can settle later on." A human's life is more important than a bunch of metal right?

How the parent's first reaction towards the situation is very important. If it is positive like that Japanese lady's mum, it is a very good example for children. The child will most likely grow up to be warm, affectionate and have compassion for people.

Personally, I have experienced two very different situations in cars. Once was during a sudden emergency break , my mum put out her arms and try to use her body to cover and protect me. I was on the passenger seat beside her then. I was really really touched. In my family whenever there is car accident whether minor or major we are all very concern about the well being of everyone. What happen to the car? Who cares. Make sure the person is alright first then talk about the car. I always thought this was a fact and everyone will react the same way.

However on one occasion I was in a car with someone and their parents. It really gave me a very very bad impression and from then on it totally changed my view about them. It really shows the true colour about people under drastic situations. We stop at a traffic light and was hit by a car from that back out of no where. The car at the back have been speeding very fast in the rain. I was sitting at the back of the car. That instant I was stunned for a second but quickly recover myself.

Frankly speaking, I was never ever in a car and met with any minor car accident before. Not even a scratch. Thanks to those careful lucky drivers. It was a frightening experience. When everything was well and ur mind was relaxed and suddenly a force hit against you unexpectedly. Anyway, immediately I look around and make sure everyone is OK. Everyone is well, the car was hit in the rear a bit. Thats all. Nothing serious. I turned my head look out and saw the driver who knocked into us move her car to the side and ......Bang!!! She was knocked by another car from the back. I saw the 1st driver's head swing and knock into the front. I let out: "Oh my! I hope she is ok. " But what shock me through my spine was the parent sitting on my side at the back passenger seat. She opened her mouth and cursed the first driver for knocking into us. And continued to say serve her right if anything happened to the 1st driver cause she injured their new car. I am like.... OMG......have I been socializing with such evil people all the while?

I know people can always hide their true intentions and show what they want ppl to see. But...at that instant true colour came out. My initial reaction is to run out of the car, check everything ok or not and run across the road and see that driver. Call the ambulance or what. She seemed to be knocked out. But I did not. I sat there...........too stunned to move. A million things ran through my head. I can't say I am a sane. But as a human must have the minimal humanity, like showing some concern for the life and death for another human being. It is just like leave someone to die on the road and drive off when u can actually help. ( at least call ambulance or the police).

Through this experience, i was deeply shaking. In this world, there are really people with no compassion. Which literally mean evil and selfish. Have compassion for people. By giving you will gain more. There is always this cycle of karma going round. You may wished that someone will help you some day in the future when you are the one lying in a pool of blood.

I feel so thankful and grateful I have great parents, loving family and friends. Choose your friends wisely and beware.

G-Pen and Kat

My birthday has long past.......But I have been to busy and did not unwrap some birthday present yet. This is 1 of them, G-Pen. I have always love to draw, paint, scribble so Darling got me this. I am so happy to have it. Ok...I know he must be grumbling if really love it then why till after so many months then use??? While I insert in the CD to install the driver and program .....

A huge black, furry, soft thing came by and sat right on it. Kat kat put out its evil paws and start smelling G-Pen up and down. G-Pen is very nervous and panicking.

I called out to Kat to stop when I saw that it is opening it mouth ready to attack G-Pen.


See...this Kat somemore can pretend to look innocent. -_-

My favourite: Stinky Tofu. Yummy.

Today Tiffany's experimental kitchen will be introducing a special Taiwan delicacy.

Stinky Tofu
Stinky tofu is a form of fermented tofu, which, as the name suggests, has a strong odor. It is a popular snack in East and Southeast Asia, particularly Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, and China, where it is usually found at night markets or roadside stands, or as a side dish in lunch bars.

It is a trademark road side dish in Taiwan. Got one stall right out side my aunt's place. Every other night brother and I will go and buy some for supper. Darling was so amazed I love this delicacy. Hahaha. He said he will not kiss me if I ever eat that again? Oh well. WHo cares? i am going to feed him some the next time when I have the opportunity.

Stinky tofu seriously speaking really do smell stinky. But the more stinky it is the better it taste. Some time ago in Taiwan, one shop's stinky tofu smell like....shit shit. Really smell like shit...but taste like heaven. Nowadays got a lot of flavour too. Like spicy stinky tofu, stinky tofu steamboat , BBQ stinky tofu. etc. I am getting hungry.

The following was one bought from night market in Malaysia.....Though it said: Taiwan Chou Tofu but.....it smell like one but taste like eh.........rock. Grade: 1/5. The pickled vege and sauce is quite ok. The main thing stinky tofu....yucks!!!!!!

It was packed nicely, clean and well.
Thus I am still searching in Malaysia for delicious stinky tofu. SO that I won't have to fly back to Taiwan to taste it.

Talking about stinky tofu, it lead to my find of an amazing TV program.

Walk around Taiwan 2009

Trip start from Sabah, my room. This is taken from my dressing table mirror reflection. My room at home is like a dreamy British country style. With flowers, fruits, animals, mini tea sets, wooden furniture, musical box, carpet and my cat Whiskey. As a little girl I dream that I am a little princess living in this enchanted cottage deep in the woods. There are lots of cute little animals, springs, green trees... ok.. I got affected by Disney quite a bit. Who won't? Growing up watching all those cartoons.

This time to reduce weight of hand luggage, i decided not to bring my camera along. Just use my hp camera. I find that my hp can take great pic when the place is brightly lit. If it is dark or dim...the picture come out not so sharp and clear. Anyway, I am just thinking taking some random pics. Some nice places I went to do not allow me to take pictures. Include most restaurants, shopping complex..........-_-....shop keeper in Taiwan very straight. See u take camera out immediately tell u : Sorry no camera allowed.

After looking through all my pic, I felt kind of regret. I missed some great pics. Wish I had taken more pics. In my uncle's new car. Forgot what brand and what model. I am a total idiot when come to cars. But I really like his car, big, spacious and I love the functions. The GPS is so cute. Keeping telling u: in front got camera, slow down ur speed. Turn left here. etc. What is so fun is the rear camera function. As u reverse the screen in front will show u the back view. Super easy to park u car. Next time I wanna buy a car like tat or fix such gadget.

Human live advertisement. Now adays posters, road side advertisement not allowed. So got a lot of walking advertisement now. PPl will be standing at the road side with sign boards telling ppl where got new shop, where got sales.

Tian Mu: Frea Market. A lot of people made their own crafts and stuffs to sell here. So many ppl wearing thick jackets. COld cold...windy day.

Some girl wearing such cooling attire. Amzing. Maybe she was too hot in selling her handy work.

A lot of people in Taiwan whether is male or female all got very good skin. Second hand stalls.

I love this wireless TV!! Can view TV news while in the car. Other than those special channels the free channels all can be viewed.

Taipei 101 from afar.

In Uncle's place. the decorations on the wall is all made by him. He is the Sunday carpenter .

Special Korean bread. It looks just like any other normal bun.

But it taste like Chinese chewy bun. Very very chewy , bouncy and QQ. ^^~~~ I love it. Such a delicious bun that I never ever taste before.

Cosco in Taiwan. SOmething like Tesco. But what amaze me about this store is...the product sold here. They sell a lot more variety than other stores. Even sell soil, metal bridge to be placed in the garden. Maybe my experience is too little. I never see such store before. Or Taiwan in some area higher standard of living.
The products sold here is of higher quality. Only sell branded items. They display a whole lot of clothing just like those in "Giant". But Gian is very cheap from RM1-50. But here when I approach what amaze me is...all of it got brand. Cheapest is Rm100!!! Adidas, Nike, Polos...etc.. I am like eh...........even underwear is CK. What kind of super market is this? And those cosmetics like Esteen, Elizabeth Arden are all packed up as a set selling in packs and at cheaper price than here. Wholesale ~~~~~~~~~~~

Heard Taiwan got very good badminton racket.

Kimchi~~~ I love kimchi!! Super delicious. Come to think of it my acceptability of food is very high. I can eat any flavour from any country I am all ok. I even fall in love with some too. I know some ppl hate food from some other country. The taste is weird , never taste before and don't really like. Like the famous durian.

Ok....Was too lazy to take photos...thats why suddenly jump to this: My grand pa peeling bamboo shoots. He is a farmer who plant all sorts of things. He is very healthy and strong till now. Guess fresh air, nice environment in countryside is very good for health. With a bit of farm work is good exercise too.

Since 10 years ago, grand parents already fix solar water heater. Free hot water. No need gas. Ah.........such a nice long hot bath. Sob sob. I am gonna miss the bath tub. Why oh why...Malaysia seldom can find bath tub at home/condo. Wish next time I can move to a home with a nice bath tub.

Grandpa very shy. Don't let me take pic. So I am like paparazzi. early in the morning he took his little motor bike and ride to his plantation to pluke some vegetables for the day.

Right outside my grandpa's place is a bus stop. HAHA > vERY convenient. Just sit at ur own home wait for bus to come and jump in.
Here is Pu Li. The famous place where all the tour guides will bring u to if u visit Taiwan. Here got the famous Sun Moon Lake, Formosa Cultural Village, villa, moutain etc. Nice food, great views, all types of fruits are super sweet.


Auntie's little car for work. After her husband retired and children all working. Auntie decided she can do what she want to do. Be a farmer. She happily bring some workers with her go to mountain and plant vege.

Traditional chinese meal at home. Hard to explain what they are, but i will try. Bamboo shoots ( same as those Panda eats), now then I know got so many types of bamboo.-_- Got dried liver, dried duck meat, fish soup, porky balls.

Me looking dead tired on the bus. That day was extremely cold and I did not bring any jacket with me. I thought it was Spring, just need a light jacket...didn't know it is so cold. I need thicker jacket. The whole time i am thinking about I am warm I am warm....-_-......Never expect the mountain area to be this cold.
Interior of bus. Through the whole trip I watched the whole series about the glorious history of Taiwan baseball team. Then I find out they actually won some international championship in baseball.
Passing through the high way, can see the green padi field underneath. This is somewhere near... Tai Chong I guess.
From here can see the bullet train 's track. Next time I wanna try that.


This is the pretty condo around my aunt's place. Kind of like the design. I don't really such design in Malaysia.

Night night. Time to sleep. I am considering to built a Japanese style room in my own home too. I find it is really really useful and comfortable. It is Spring in Taiwan now but still kind of chilly at night when it rains. That blanket is for winter, super big and heavy. Remains me when I was a kid I love to hide in the huge blanket.
