    Pasar Tamu in Sabah.

Malaysia is a great tropical country with abundant natural resources and nice people ( especially in the kampung areas) Though we stay near the Pasar Tamu but it is still very fascinating to see some of these rare harvest the indigenous people selling. Once a week they brought it all down from the mountains to flat land to sell.

So join me in a little tour of a market shopping. Below photos are all taken by my lousy HP cam
but I am quite happy with the quality. It is still clear and not too blur. I know it can't be compare with those fine cameras but it is convenient: First stall we saw is Yam.

This market is very special. It sell a lot of weird stuff that we never see in the Super markets. Not only that, they have professional traditional music players there for the whole day. While you are shopping you can hear the faint soothing musics floating into your ears. Personally I do not know what exactly do they play but it seems like some drums and gongs.

Different types of local Sabah rice which is very colourful and very expensive. A lot of people said this type of rice is extra nutritious (-_-) Oh well....who knows.

    Some local ladies.
Grandpapa and Maid. He is the most knowledgeable and wise old man i ever know. I love to stay around him. He is like a walking encyclopedia. He taught me a lot of valuable life experiences.
I just wonder how the stall sellers keep those fish fresh without ice.

Flowers of banana tree. I always wonder what is it for.

We bought quite a lot of this. very delicious.

This is what people call " mountain durians". I am not sure what is the difference but the sharp ends just appear longer and sharper than the usual ones. Grandpa said it don't taste as nice. so....

    White yellowish chilies.

Tiny fishes on sale in bags. For fun or pet or other function?

    Live fishes.
Notice the reddish fruits at the center of the photo? I seriously do not know what they are.

    Fish...
    Tiny fragrant orchid.
Great way for helping the world by reducing use of plastic. Wrap stuff in leaves.

    Dry fishes

White stuff that is use to make wine ...Till today i still wonder what is it exactly.

Grandpa never know that I am taking photos.

Huge tree. I just love trees and shades.

Interesting fruits. Though I did ask the sellers what are they but due to language problem......Still can't understand what is it.

Me and grandpa on the way home. yeah~~~
