Photo Diary: Hello There~ Heat Wave

Hello there~ It is drizzling tonight and I am happy. For today I discovered a really nice place that I would love to stay. Hope something good will come out of that. Will continue on my mission of finding the perfect place to rent.

I long for the sun. I long for somewhere that's bright. I long for the warmth that won't kill me in the middle of the day when the Sun is high up in the sky. The heat wave today gave Wen a black out and me a knock out. Out of water. Felt so dehydrated that H2O is no help at all. Almost drop off and fainted right there in the hospital today. It was like being enveloped by this thick warm water that you felt like you can't breathe. The feeling was aggravated even more by that thick white coat. Half way through BST I secretly took off my white coat for a while. It was quite unbearable. Struggling to stand still, to focus and trying to listen to discussion. Hell. I am thankful nothing happened.

Having fun with my doggy :P It is almost a wonder when ever I look at pic. I am set to a auto-smile when ever taking a pic. Ha. Despite of my mood I will always smile sweetly into the camera. Maybe I should take some pic of myself looking sad.

Dr Wan gave us a recap on some funny/lame medical jokes.

Don't be like the Doctor who gave the patient a whole body scan for generalized pain all over the body. The patient told the Doctor:" I felt pain everywhere all over my body." Then patient use his index finger to point and press on his head, his chest, his arm, his abdomen, his thigh and continued:" Doctor, see. Pain here, pain here, pain everywhere. Everywhere on my body I press is painful." In the end, Doctor got a CT scan result of fracture bone of THAT index finger.

So... Laugh. For laughter is :

Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.

With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health.

Laughter is good for your health

    • Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.
    • Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.
    • Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.
    • Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.

“Your sense of humor is one of the most powerful tools you have to make certain that your daily mood and emotional state support good health.”

    ~ Paul E. McGhee, Ph.D.
