Hello guys. I should really bring my camera around town with me at all times. The cam on my hp sucks. The colour is not vibrant enough and no zooming!!!

We were crossing the road to hospital at that time and suddenly out of no where, we heard some noise and turn back. There they were: HORSES! We were guessing some run away horse from the nearby polo club perhaps?

「長 恨歌」是白居易詩作中膾炙人口的名篇，作於元和元年（八○六），當時詩人正在今陝西同至縣任縣尉。這首詩是他和友人陳鴻、王質夫同遊仙遊寺，有感於唐玄 宗、楊貴妃的故事而創作的。在這首長篇敘事詩裡，作者以精煉的語言，優美的形象，敘事和抒情結合的手法，敘述了唐玄宗、楊貴妃在安史之亂中的愛情悲劇：他 們的愛情被自己釀成的叛亂斷送了 ， 正在沒完沒了地吃著這一精神的苦果。唐玄宗、楊貴妃都是歷史上的人物，詩人並不拘泥於歷史，而是借著歷史的一點影子，根據當時人們的傳說，街坊的歌唱，從 中蛻化出一個回旋曲折、宛轉動人的故事，用回環往復、纏綿悱惻的藝術術形式，描摹、歌詠出來。由於詩中的故事、人物都是藝術化的，是現實中人的複雜真實的 再現，所以能夠在歷代讀者的心中漾起陣陣漣漪。 「長恨歌」就是歌「長恨」，「長恨」是詩歌的主題，故事的焦點，也是埋在詩裡的一顆牽動人心的種子。而「恨」什麼，為什麼要「長恨」，詩人不是直接舖敘、抒寫出來，而是通過他筆下詩化的故事，一層一層地展示給讀者，讓人們自己去揣摸，去回味，去感受。 詩 歌開卷第一句：「漢皇重色思傾國」，看來很尋常，好像故事原就應該從這裡寫起，不需要作者花什麼心思似的，事實上這七個字含量極大，是全篇綱領，它既揭示 了故事的悲劇因素，又喚起和統領著全詩。緊接著，詩人用極其省儉的語言，敘述了安史之亂前唐玄宗如何重色、求色，終於得到了「回眸一笑百媚生，六宮粉黛無 顏色」的楊貴妃。描寫了楊貴妃的美貌、嬌媚，進宮後因有色而得寵，不但自己「新承恩澤」，而且「妙妹弟兄皆列土」。反覆渲染唐玄宗得貴妃以後在宮中如何縱 欲，如何行樂，如何終日沉湎於歌舞酒色之中。所有這些，就釀成了安史之亂：「漁陽鼙鼓動地來，驚破霓裳羽衣曲」。這一部分寫出了「長恨 」的內因，是悲劇故事的基礎。詩人通過這一段宮中生活的寫實，不無諷刺地向我們介紹了故事的男女主人公：一個重色輕國的帝王，一個嬌媚恃寵的妃子。還形象地暗示我們，唐玄宗的迷色誤國，就是這一悲劇的根源。 下面，詩人具體地描述了安史之亂發生後，皇帝兵馬倉皇逃入西南的情景，特別是在這一動亂中唐玄宗和楊貴妃愛情的毀滅。「六軍不發無奈何，宛轉蛾眉馬前死。花鈿委地無人收，翠翹金雀玉搔頭。君王掩面救不得，回看血淚相和流。」 寫 的就是他們在馬嵬坡生離死別的一幕。「六軍不發」，要求處死楊貴妃，是憤於唐玄宗迷戀女色，禍國殃民。楊貴妃的死，在整個故事中，是一個關鍵性的情節，在 這之後，他們的愛情才成為一場悲劇。接著，行「黃埃散漫風蕭索」起至「魂魄不曾來入夢」，詩人抓住了人物精神世界裡揪心的「恨」，用酸惻動人的語調，宛轉 形容和描述了楊貴妃死後唐玄宗在蜀中的寂寞悲傷，還都路上的追懷憶舊，回宮以後睹物思人，觸景生情，一年四季物是人非事事休的種種感觸。纏綿悱惻的相思之 情，使人覺得迴腸蕩氣。正由於詩人把人物的感情渲染到這樣的程度，後面道士的到來，仙境的出現，便給人一種真實感，不以為純粹是一種空中樓閣了。 從 「臨邛道士鴻都客」至詩的末尾，寫道士幫助唐玄宗尋找楊貴妃。詩人採用的是浪漫主義的手法，忽而上天，忽而入地，「上窮碧落下黃泉，兩處茫茫皆不見。」後 來，在海上虛無縹緲的仙山上找到了楊貴妃，讓她以「玉容寂寞淚闌干，梨花一枝春帶雨」的形象在仙境中再現，殷勤迎接漢家的使者，含情脈脈，托物寄詞，重申 前誓，照應唐玄宗對她的思念，進一步深化、渲染「長恨」的主題。詩歌的末尾，用「天長地久有時盡，此恨綿綿無絕期」結筆，點明題旨，回應開頭，而且做到 「清音有餘」，給讀者以聯想、回味的餘地。 「長 恨歌」首先給我們藝術美的享受的是詩中那個宛轉動人的故事，是詩歌精巧獨特的藝術構思。全篇中心是歌「長恨」，但詩人卻從「重色」說起，並且予以極力舖寫 和渲染。「日高起」、「不早朝」、「夜專夜」、「看不足」等等，看來是樂到了極點，像是一幕喜劇，然而，極度的樂，正反襯出後面無窮無盡的恨。唐玄宗的荒 淫誤國，引出了政治上的悲劇，反過來又導致了他和楊貴妃的愛情悲劇。 悲劇的製造者最後成為悲劇的主人公，這是故事的特殊、曲折處，也是詩中男女主人公之所以要「長恨」的原因。過去許多人說「長恨歌」有諷喻的意味，這首詩的諷喻意味就在這裡 。 那麼詩人又是如何表現「長恨」的呢?馬嵬坡楊貴妃之死一場，詩人刻劃極其細膩，把唐玄宗那種不忍割愛但又欲救不得的內心矛盾和痛苦感情，都具體形象地表現 出來了。由於這「血淚相和流」的死別，才會有那沒完沒了的恨。隨後，詩人用許多筆墨從各個方面反覆渲染唐玄宗對楊貴妃的思念，但詩歌的故事情節並沒有停止 在一個感情上，而是隨著人物內心世界的層層展示，感應他的景物的不斷變化把時間和故事向前推移，用人物的思想感情來開拓和推動情節的發展。唐玄宗奔蜀，是 在死別之後，內心十分酸楚愁慘，還都路上，舊地重經，又勾起了傷心的回憶，回宮後，白天睹物傷情，夜晚輾轉難眠。日思夜想而不得，所以寄希望於夢境，卻又 是「悠悠生死別經年，魂魄不曾來入夢」。詩至此，已經把「長恨」之「恨」寫得十分動人心魄，故事到此結束似乎也可以。然而詩人筆鋒一折，別開境界，借助想 像的彩翼，構思了一個嫵媚動人的仙境，把悲劇故事的情節推向高潮，使故事更加迴環曲折，有起伏，有波瀾。這一轉折，既出人意料，又盡在情理之中。由於主觀 願望和客觀現實不斷發生矛盾、碰撞，詩歌把人物千迴百轉的心理表現得淋漓盡致，故事也因此而顯得更為宛轉動人。 「長 恨歌」是一首抒情成份很濃的敘事詩，詩人在敘述故事和人物塑造上，採用了我國傳統詩歌擅長的抒寫手法，將敘事、寫景和抒情和諧地結合在一起，形成詩歌抒情 上迴環往復的特點。詩人時而把人物的思想感情注入景物，用景物的折光來烘托人物的心境，時而抓住人物周圍富有特徵性的景物、事物，通過人物對它們的感受來 表現內心的感情，層層渲染，恰如其分的表達人物蘊蓄在內心深處的難達之情。唐玄宗逃往西南的路上，四處是黃塵、棧道、黃山、日色暗淡，旌旗無光，秋景淒 涼，這是以悲涼的秋景來烘托人物的悲思。在蜀地，面對著青山綠水，還是朝夕不能忘情，蜀中的山山水水原是很美的，但是在寂寞悲哀的唐玄宗眼中，那山的 「青」，水的「碧」，也都惹人傷心，大自然的美應該有恬靜的心境也才享受，他卻沒有，所以就更增加了內心的痛苦。這是透過美景來寫哀情，使感情又深入一 層。行宮中的月色，雨夜裡的鈴聲，本來就很人撩人意緒，詩人抓住這些尋常但是富有特徵性的事物，把人帶進傷心、斷腸的境界，再加上那一見一聞，一色一聲， 互相交錯，在語言上、聲調上也表現出人物內心的愁苦淒清，這又是一層。還都路上，「天旋地轉」，本來是高興的事，但舊地重過，玉顏不見，不由傷心淚下。敘 事中，又增加了一層痛苦的回憶。回長安後，「歸來池苑皆依舊，太液芙蓉未央柳。芙蓉如面柳如眉，對此如何不淚垂」。白日裡，由於環境和景物的觸發，從景物 聯想到人，景物依舊，人卻不在了，禁不住就潸然淚下，從太液池的芙蓉花首未央宮的重柳彷彿看到了楊貴妃的容貌，展示了人物極其複雜微妙的內心活動。「夕殿 螢飛思稍然，孤燈挑盡未成眠。遲遲鐘鼓初長夜，耿耿星河欲曙天」。從黃昏寫到黎明，集中地表現了夜間被情思縈繞久久不能入睡的情景。這種苦苦的思戀，「春 風桃李花開日」是這樣，「秋雨梧桐葉落時」也是這樣。及至看到當年的「梨園弟子」、「阿監青娥」都已白髮衰顏，更勾引起對往日歡娛的思念，自是黯然神傷。 從黃埃散漫到蜀山青青 ， 從行宮夜雨到凱旋回歸，從白日到黑夜，從春天到秋天，處處觸物傷情，時時睹物思人，從各方面反覆渲染詩中主人公的苦苦追求和尋覓。現實生活中找不到，到夢 中去找，夢中找不到，又到仙境中去找。如此跌宕迴環，層層渲染，使人物感情迴旋上升，達到了高潮。詩人正是通過這樣的層層渲染，反覆抒情，迴環往復，讓人 物的思想感情蘊蓄得更深邃豐富，使詩歌「肌理細膩」，更富有藝術的感染力。 作為一首千古絕唱的敘事詩，「長恨歌」在藝術上的成就是很高的。加往今來，許多人都肯定這首詩的特殊的藝術魅力。「長恨歌」在藝術上以什麼感染和誘惑讀者呢?宛轉動人，纏綿悱惻，恐怕是它最大的藝術個性，也是它能吸住千百年來的讀者，使他自受感染、被誘惑的的力量。

Where Food Start to Invade Our desk.

One you wake up, grab the Starbucks coffee cup on the table. Instead of coffee, you start spitting out strips of paper. Yucks. You forgot you just changed your table paper bin into the Starbucks look-alike recycle trash bin.. It is so realistic it even has the coffee stain at the side of it.

After playing DOTA or some fantastic online game for 24 hours straight. Sometimes, don't trust your eyes and touch too much. You may look up from the computer screen at the window and realize it is Morning and you are a bit hungry. You just got back from a long, exhausting war. Right in front of you there are 2 long sausages and an egg. You have no idea when or how it is there. Maybe mum or GF so kind to prepare some for you? Maybe you were too busy fighting you never even noticed before. Don't come to a conclusion so fast! Who will be so nice and kind and cook stuff for a guy that just ignore them ( the girls) for one whole day. Instead of go dating the guy went on a whole day campaign with the online friends. It will certainly serve them right if they accidentally swallowed some plastic and cotton by mistake.

Ok. Guess not many ppl will be fooled by this sushi wrist rest. They are certainly very cute. But ....using white towel as a wrist rest : Chances of getting dirt on it is too high. In no time, this whole sushi will be looking like some grey disgusting rotten sushi..... Think it will really be a waste of money to get this as it will spoil very fast.

I guess it maybe a good idea for forewarn your old folks at home about your new displays. They might accidentally do somethings to it as they may not have any idea what the heck is on your table.

What is a Cork Hat?

Me= Pet lover =Society addict. Well it is always hard to explain why you like something so much unless the person also likes it too.

Anyway, this week's theme at the Pet Society is the Australia . There are two types of backgrounds for it. The blue sky with aqua blue sea or the umbilicus of the world. ( Dear friends, you can have fun guessing at where it is. )
My fashionable Pet Lola ( the one with golden blonde hair) is having some fun on beach with friend. Both spotting the latest cork hat and swim wear. Koala bear never cuter than hugging their tree and sleeping all day long. Our pets are wearing cork hats! But what exactly is a cork hat all about? I seriously do not know.


All I know is that cork hat is from Australia and it looks like it had some function with those hanging wine corks around. I had a Koala bear and Kangaroo soft toy from Australia when I was young. Both of the toys were wearing a cork hat.

Google search for pictures: Aha... I got it here: Man with cork hat. So it really looks like that in real life. No offense but kind of silly looking. :P I wonder will it be kind of irritating to have those hanging around your head. My friends reside in Australia informed me that they do not wear it on daily basis too. Haha...Anyway it is always a symbol to represent Australia now. It looks kind of cute too. ^^ I like it.

Came across this Pharmacy counter and noticed something really interesting about the pharmacist name. Ch'ng Ted Earl. You can call this person by the name of Ch'ng or Ted or Earl. This 3 words can stand alone as a proper English name for anyone. Sounds like a good idea if you got bored of your name and you have more choices. Like Tan Ah Hong. Tan or Ah or Hong... Don't sound so pretty when it is alone.

1930s Marital Scale

Haha.

I try to be as truthful as possible. I won't I be wearing my pajamas instead of night gown? I don't have pajamas, I just wear t-shirt and shorts.
p/s: I do own 3 nightgowns in the shades of pink and white ( bought by dear Mum).
And of course I wear my sleeping clothing ( t-shirt and shorts) to cook my meals. There are so many weird question but properly appropriate and relevant to those days. Ok...Maybe if I am living in the 1930s, my answers maybe different. If I qualified to be one....it may indicate some serious problems. :p

Vintage is back. And I love it.

It is a really interesting period in human's history the beginning of 20th centuries. 1900-2000s. Where everything just starts to get exciting and so fast that we will be flying beyond the moon and toward the next galaxy.

Stumbled upon these online and was truly amazed. And I just discovered like a whole new world that was behind me. I have such fun reading the Life Magazine from the 1950s, but too bad I am unable to grab the pictures to share here. U all can check it out by yourselves. Anyway this is really funny:

Chris. She might need some company in her little room. And I think this little Pink Kitty will be just right.
