    Mount Kota Kinabalu

Hello everyone. After so many years.......I finally managed to visit Mt. KK once again! Ok... I didn't make it to the top or what. We just got to the foot and look and enjoy its great beauty. I am so glad I stay in such a beautiful place. The blue blue sea with white sand beach is 15mins drive away and Mt KK is so near. I am just like on vacation everyday. ( indeed I am too~)

Hi~ everyone~Long time never see my face. Ha. This is before I got scratch by that cat...Anyway there is nothing serious just kind of annoyed by that fact.

Glad that the hotel room looked comfy and warm. Hotel room rates compare to last time are now sky-high. Sigh....when will economic be good again?

After checked in to the hotel we are all so excited and can't wait to get out into the 'wild' to enjoy the cool environment. The air is fresh, the wind is cool and refreshing, the view is magnificent! I am so in love with KK. It has the right temperature, great scenery and not too rural with just enough advancement. Without too much trouble you still can find things that you need around here. Though may not be able to find some fine processed items but still can get by with it.

The little jungle walk beside the hotel.

    Lalala~~~
What we found on the way! Pine cones on the forest floor. They are so cute and perfect I can't resist take them home for decoration. Imaging Christmas in the hot summer heat. We do have sort of cooler season in Tropicals too. The rainy season where everyday rain rain rain and we get to enjoy a bit of chilliness in the air.

Pretty flowers that brighten up your day! Felt really bad we don't have enough time for more flower farm, butterfly farm visits.

We decided to wonder around and have a look at Poring Hot spring. Mistaken by the sound of the name, I always thought it is 'POURING hot spring'. Ha...It does look much better than I expected. Well organized, clean, nicely set in the deep forest. Around 1 km away from the hot spring we start to smell something like rotten egg in the air. That's the sign you are getting near a hot spring. Whenever the word hot spring came into mind always reminds me of Japan, snow and a bunch of red-faced monkeys dipping themselves in it. Haha. However the Sabah, Malaysia is kind of different from that image. For people from temperate countries with hot springs I seriously don't recommend anyone going. It is a boring hot spring not worth the time and effort but a great get-away for the locals for a change.

The CAUTION! Super hot spring that can boil and cook you alive! In Taiwan hot spring recreational areas always sell eggs for people to cook in the boiling hot spring for fun. I remembered standing on rocks with great smoke coming out from the grounds. I will post some pics on my vocation to Taiwan later. Been kind of " physically free but mentally occupied" sort of busy all this while.

My mum, auntie and grandpa taking a adventurous dip in the hot spring dipping pool. There are pools in various sizes. Some like this is a huge pool, got other smaller pools u can adjust the water temperature to ur liking. Steaming hot water pouring out so becareful!

MY feet! The water is sort of warm. Not too hot, just nice and comfy. I love it. We were so tempted to dip our whole body inside. Warm warm nice water. It was a really relaxing afternoon, enjoying the nice cool weather, lazing around the little pool. Life is a bliss. Wished we had some drinks at the side. Too bad we wasn't really prepared to dip in the hot spring. Thought of just sigh-seeing thus didn't get ready any stuff. There were lots of tourist there too, especially some hot caucasian guys with nice toned muscles. Eh... this makes me sound like some deprived sort of person. Anyway you have to admit some how they got more quality guys to stare at. Life is NOT fair.

walked around 1 hour with my aunt to reach this scenary by canopy walk through. Quite worth it after all the hard walk of brisk walking.

    Mount Kota Kinabalu

Pardon me this is all taken by my hp cam....quality wise so and so.

Fat squirrel at Mt KK park. Guess lots of tourist also have been feeding them. They are very friendly not shy towards strangers and will come forward to take any food u gave them. Haha.CUte little furry things.

    Entrance to the mysterious mountain.

At the bottom of Mt KK there is a little museum sort of thing that you can find out all about MT KK. The natural resource, rocks, animal, habitat, people who stay there. etc...

Grandpapa telling us this is what he had during his early hunting days in Sabah. Lots of wild animals to see.

    Birdie.

Below are a few more pictures from the musuem. Enjoy~~

Rafflesia... really rare now adays. Mum told me she had seen a real one years ago in INdonesia. Really stinky. Smell like decomposed body. Plainly: rotten smell. How amazing this world is. Such a great beautiful flower with such a smell. Weird.

    Grandpa observing some insects.

    worms and insects.
Types of rock that can be found in MT KK.

Last but not least let us enjoy the beautiful Mt. KK again. I am always so fascinated by its magnificent beauty. All of this are taken from hotel window.

Ok. I have been kind of though there is nothing much to it but I am on the move again. Tomorrow I am off to Sandakan for a 3 days 2 night trip. So see ya.....I will try to finish my post on Taiwan Trip asap too. Friends were asking....what have u been doing in Taiwan? Eat, shop, sleep and eat more. Haha..

Some where in the Middle of One Utama

Morning everyone. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I had a good rest thanks to Thaipusam. I am not procrastinating. Nor am I being lazy I am just taking a break from the pile of notes and books. I have had a very intense session with the muscles, bones and nerves. Oh no...not nerve yet. Nerve is elusive not as down to earth as bones and more complicated than muscles. I am oblige to stay at my desk and study. Even a whiff of creamy New York cheese cake is not going to tempt me out. ..woe is me!

Since I didn't go anywhere, let us update about the past. I went to One Utama some month ago. Yes. Before my hair was chopped off by the merciless hair dresser declaring my ends are too dead to be kept on my head. Fine....But not so short as I can't even tie it up into my signature pony tail. -_-.... I think this was sometime before Xmas. Friend and I we went to try out a shop that has always been luring us ever since. I can't recall the name but I just know and guess everyone will know what I mean. The shop with tables and seats right in the center and with a huge wooden swing in the middle. Oh...gosh...I don't have a pic of the whole shop just part of the shop. This place is near the cinema.

My beautiful long hair before chopped off. Sob sob. When will I get to have again?
MeowMeow: Maybe in a few months time.
Me: OMG............so long. Its like forever.

Turn back and give a pathetic smile. Pls ignore my anemic pallor face... I haven't been having my proper human meals lately. Haha...

    Miss my long fringe.
Lamb. We always thought this is some Arabian or exotic restaurant due to this dish. But it turn out to be local delicacies.

    Curry fish?
Me in 2009. February is here. My birthday is coming. As we aged I wonder is it that fun to celebrate one's birthday? Just one year older and physically weaker, lost of calcium, lower metabolism. 20 something is the prime of life but I feel tired and aged. Then older people will say that's because you are young that's why you feel you are old. Old people feel nothing. Ok. What I like the most about birthday is get to make a wish and blow the candle. Hehe. Hope my wish come true.

Guess everyone is too busy with exam to remember my birthday. I guess my parents forget too. They forgot cleanly about it ever since I past 18. That's the last birthday I ever had a celebration at home. Maybe it is their way of announcing I am grown up but not freedom. Chinese culture is different from western. Chinese is forever keeping kids in while the western is kicking the kids out asap.

    The Curve : Bubba Gump

Last Christmas~ I went to The Curve. The Christmas decoration there were amazing. I am not too sure about other places but compare to Sunway, Midvalley, The Curve has the best decoration of all. I especially love the performers at the side of the alley where they were singing great love songs.

The atmosphere was great. Everything is shiny, twinkling, glowing and little children laughing with soft music in the back ground. Some how growing up Disney wonder land cartoons, commercialized Santa Claus, chocolates, candies, gummy bears, Feast with all sort of delicacies. The festive season just bring a great joy and happiness to people. May it be commercial or not. It just gave people the excuse to celebrate and have fun.

Everyone is so excited and happy around me. I am very excited too by the brilliant Christmas decorations all over me. It is like I had walk into a fantasy world.

The mention of the word " Last Christmas" always reminds me of this song:

Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away....

    Nice, sweet, sad song.

We wanna try out something new, so we have a look around and decided on : Bubba Gump. Drawn to it by its weirdly familiar name. If you ever watched the movie : Forest Gump, you will know what I mean. Apparently that they based the restaurant's theme on that movie. That place is like some old American garage and well decorated with lots of old vintage stuff. Really cute, I love it. There is something special : Run Forest Run. It is a metal plate on the table that can indicate the waiters to stop by your table or just run along and do their stuff. Some of the menu was stuck on to a ping pong ball racket. Kind of interesting as you flip through it. Guess they try to be as creative as possible.

The drinks are nice. I love it.
That's me....my face got compressed to appear fatter by the photo program I am using. Still can't figure out a better way to place the photos. Still kind of new to it. We ordered Caesar salad as appetizer, one prawn with cheesy rice and prawn spaghetti. But turn out this two main dishes sucks like mad.

The Milky cheesy rice + prawn is horrible. I thought it baked cheese rice type of thing. Didn't know it is some thing like liquid diluted cheese + milk and watery rice thing. Ok to be fair for all dished the sea food are great and fresh. But this sort of dishes sucks. Oh and the prawn + tomato based spaghetti my friend had also sucks. It is like watery diluted tomato sauce to watery spaghetti again...........horrible taste... We had a hard time swallowing all our food. As we look around and other tables. I guessed their fried stuff may taste better.
We ended our groomy dinner asap.....Then we had a refreshing supper by starting it off with The Big Apple Doughnuts! Yummy yummy. The sugars and the chocolate sauce...Oh great. So finger licking good that I don't even have a chance to snap any pictures. They are gone like in 5 seconds.
Me, food, me, food, me...So Do I look more delicious now? Haha. .. Yes. I am glad the out side appearance of the food all look very nice. As least they show up so vibrantly on photos and make a nice blog pic.

p/s: I am not sure about what others think. But seriously I don't recommend the above dishes that's all.

    Leonardo da Vinci

    Malaysia National Science Center.

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci
(April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519), was an Italian polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, botanist and writer. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance man, a man whose unquenchable curiosity was equaled only by his powers of invention.

    Wonder Around to Pavillion

Chinese New Year is around the corner and Cherry Blossom was sighted at Pavillion.

The Famous 3 cups fountain with national flower on it of which I am not even aware of. Guess it will look even more stunning at night.

Me with curly hair...lazy to blow it out. I super love the diamond Tiara hair band. Mum got it for me. ^^~~~ Love it.

See....it is a really pretty hairband.

Before out to lunch with Steven...

Cute Steven with Melon hair and watermelon. Though he claim he look more like coconut. p/s: why in the world there are so many Steven?? PLease People STOP Naming yourself and Your kids Steven. We had lunch at my Fav. ICHIBAN Ramen and I ordered my Fav. seafood tom yam. Yummy yummy. Thanks Steven for the treat. He is just like a Doraremon. Round round cute cute. He said if I don't wear high heels our distance will be nearer and on a better communication level. Haha..

Lousy hp camera but no money to change a new hp. Hope I will lottery soon. ^^~~

The two guys eyeing Protein milk shakes. That one on the right in blue is Mr DW. Some colleague of Steven's. He drop by and join us for a drink.

At Starbucks. Somehow that day's chat topic is going around with gays and lesbians.

Steven thinking about what to say. He is a guy who is strongly against Gay but ok with lesbians. -_-............... Anyway somehow we did managed to sight a lot of gays and lesbians that day. According to Steven there are lots of such people walking around the drinking street beside Pavillion. Steven has a really good eye to identify who are homosexuals. I also wonder why do gays and lesbians have to dress in a certain way that one look also know their sexual preference. Or maybe they dress that way to identify each other easily????

I am not trying to be stereotype here, It is just I observe and being informed of.

Gays: typical fashion style: tight pants, short pants, body hugging tops and mini vest. A MUST have: feminine sling bag that is hold under the arm pit tightly. ( though fashion nowadays also a bit gayish.:P ) Make ups and nail polish maybe applied.

Lesbian: the girl who is suppose to be the 'guy' or the more masculine one will be dress as a tom boy. I wonder why I never see two lesbians who are feminine great beauties together? One of the partners always have to dress up and act more 'man'. I mean if u are a lesbian ...means u like some one of the same sex. Female characteristic is to be girly, feminine... Anyway, maybe should look into it sometimes.
Steven said Mr DW love to shop in gay shops... one day he will be attracting gays and he may not even mind. -_-........speechless. MR DW has very good skin. Shiny, pore-less, pimple-less , flawless skin. He is really proud of his great skin care. Maybe I should ask him for some tips.

    My shopping of that day:

Somehow I am just in love with this cute bunnie!!!
New notebook, new pencil box, new pink heart shape pen and candies....
It is always nice to meet new people and hang out sometimes.
