    Egg Nog

Hello people I know I have been off the blog for a long long time. I can't even remember when was the last entry. OH MY GOD. This is my FIrst blog post in year 2011!!! Oh wow. And it was more than 4 months since I last blogged! I never abandon my blog it is just somehow I never get to blog all this while.

Guess being in the clinical years with heavy workload, it is inevitable. From now on I will just do some random updates when I am free.

I have ONE MAjor thing to report: Right now I can really understand how lucky it is that you get to sleep at night. Soundly, comfortably in your own bed for up to 8 hours at one go. That's like a blessing. Oh...how sweet is sleep, how soothing is sleep, how wonderful is sleep... Let us just fall asleep~ ( sing along with any nice tune u have in mind.)

Why the Egg Nog ? I have no idea. While laughing insanely over " Big Bang Theory" and also realizing how much I have in common with those 4 comical geeks of which means I am a great geek/nerd too. While that <- goes on I came across this: Egg Nog. ( of which Penny was drinking with rum at that time.) Seriously I think I never had it before, though I heard numerous times about it on the TV. So what exactly is it?

    Here from the Wiki:

Eggnog, or egg nog, is a sweetened dairy-based beverage traditionally made with milk and/or cream, sugar, beaten eggs (which gives it a frothy texture), and liquor. Brandy, rum, moonshine, or whisky is sometimes added; and the finished serving would be garnished with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon or nutmeg.

Eggnog is a popular drink throughout the United States and Canada, and is usually associated with winter celebrations such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year. Commercial non-alcoholic eggnog is typically available only in the winter season. Eggnog may be added as a flavouring to food or drinks such as coffee andtea. Eggnog as a custard can also be used as an ice cream base.

Mmm.........sounds not my taste at all and kind of weird. The milk is fine but adding raw egg in it and adding rum? That totally taste funny. Ok. To give it justice I need to taste it first. May need to wait for some time before I get my chance to try it. Or I can get the recipe and make my own
concoction. Yes. That's me. Always getting fascinated by tiny funny things around and looking them up online.

Currently am focusing very hard on how to maintain my own health at the most optimal level as to avoid disastrous consequences of possible infections around hospital. I caught a bad viral/bacterial infection a few weeks ago and end up having on and off high grade fever, flu, cough...the list can go on and on. It was nightmare! No wonder I can't go online and blog! Ha. GTG. Need to wake up at 7am. --> Night mare. FYI: I am a night walker. :P So you can imagine how sunlight affects me. " Ah.....hot! Glaring. Pain. I am feeling dizzy." = this sums what I think of waking up too early in the morning.

Night people~ Don't miss me. p/s: I am the narcissistic Aquarius and this is all the reason I can brat about how narcissist I am.

Photo Diary: Hello There~ Heat Wave

Hello there~ It is drizzling tonight and I am happy. For today I discovered a really nice place that I would love to stay. Hope something good will come out of that. Will continue on my mission of finding the perfect place to rent.

I long for the sun. I long for somewhere that's bright. I long for the warmth that won't kill me in the middle of the day when the Sun is high up in the sky. The heat wave today gave Wen a black out and me a knock out. Out of water. Felt so dehydrated that H2O is no help at all. Almost drop off and fainted right there in the hospital today. It was like being enveloped by this thick warm water that you felt like you can't breathe. The feeling was aggravated even more by that thick white coat. Half way through BST I secretly took off my white coat for a while. It was quite unbearable. Struggling to stand still, to focus and trying to listen to discussion. Hell. I am thankful nothing happened.

Having fun with my doggy :P It is almost a wonder when ever I look at pic. I am set to a auto-smile when ever taking a pic. Ha. Despite of my mood I will always smile sweetly into the camera. Maybe I should take some pic of myself looking sad.

Dr Wan gave us a recap on some funny/lame medical jokes.

Don't be like the Doctor who gave the patient a whole body scan for generalized pain all over the body. The patient told the Doctor:" I felt pain everywhere all over my body." Then patient use his index finger to point and press on his head, his chest, his arm, his abdomen, his thigh and continued:" Doctor, see. Pain here, pain here, pain everywhere. Everywhere on my body I press is painful." In the end, Doctor got a CT scan result of fracture bone of THAT index finger.

So... Laugh. For laughter is :

Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.

With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health.

Laughter is good for your health

    • Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.
    • Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.
    • Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.
    • Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.

“Your sense of humor is one of the most powerful tools you have to make certain that your daily mood and emotional state support good health.”

    ~ Paul E. McGhee, Ph.D.

Doggy you are just like big furry doggy back at home. I miss Yuki. I miss your brown fur fur. I miss hugging you.

Smile for the camera ! Say :" Woof!"

Time sleep. Good night and sweet dreams, darlings.

    The New Place

Hello people I am back. Thanks to the really cold weather and insomnia I am back into the blogging world for a little while. Been putting off writing about my new place for months and months till it is almost reaching the next year. 27 more days to go!

Currently I am residing temporarily in this place :

Half of the year is hot like hell and half of the year it is cold and wet. Right now I am enjoying the monsoon. Though I like the cool weather but my clothes won't dry and my room is growing fungus soon!!

For those who can't read Chinese: this is Kuala Terengganu China Town. It is out of the rural and at the corner of the country. Right now we are enjoying the rainy Monsoon season.
Monsoon cup is on and the city is alive with lots of people.

Me beside my window when I first got here. Shh....... Let me tell you a secret: My land lady has horrible taste. Her curtains and cushion covers are in a horrible hideous colour that I can't even describe. I rush out to the stores to get some plain new olds and to my utmost horror.................................. There is nothing to be bought!!

Campus view. This was taken when the days were bright and grass are turning yellow as not a single drop of rain for weeks and weeks. Now after some so called 'landscaping' the place looks so much nicer with a fountain and lots of greeneries.

Me looks bright and sunny and a bit too skinny on the first day of the semester. Guess I was kind of excited and looking forward to the new semester.

An Apple a day keeps the Doctor away. You know what to put on the pillow when your husband annoys you. :P

Quote of the day: If Accident is a Disease. Education is the Vaccine.

Funny quote isn't it? I guess theoretically it is right but practically??? Everyone knows that driving fast and over the speed limit is bad. But people still do it because they never thought that accident or any bad things will ever happen to then. Same as smoking.

    ANTI SMOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Early birds get to see the sun rising from the sea.

    Me on the beach.
Me in front of the Crystal Mosque.

Me standing at the gate of China Town. Hurrah to the CHinese!!! You can go anywhere around e globe and you are sure to find a China town there for sure. ^^~

Last but not least show you all a little pic of me in the Crystal Mosque!!!!
Alright out of respect for the religion I wore the scarf to enter it. Inside is amazing! The huge crystals hanging from the ceilings are shining brightly under the evening light.

    My New Baby: Vivi.

Agitated by Chris, I also felt like sharing the new joy of being the proud owner of a vehicle: Car. The first big item ( something that cost a lot) that I ever owned. ^^~~~~
Me driving my Vivi. That's the name of my Baby Car.

Wen Yi may call hers, her dear hubby. Nicholas said he call his, Miss Lady as she is very gentle.
My car is the smallest among our family car so it is the Baby car, Vivi. Such boring name but I why call it something you can't even remember after a month? It is Myvi so Vivi. Cute.

    The cute fat backside.
If I remember correctly this should be Myvi model EZi grey colour.

I am so thrilled to finally be able to hold a car key in my hand that belongs to me! Me! Me! Oh well....if you haven't been driving around your whole 20+ years of life you will feel the same. I never have to drive, never need to drive and never allowed to drive. The end. Parents gave in and let me be Independent. I got a pink fur ball + pearls + diamonds to go with my car key.
The ball drop off after a few months time and never get to find the time to stick it back. -_-...

Sporty view. I like it. Wen said I got a steady feel on my steering wheel when it is at night and no car around on the road. Ha. I felt it really takes a lot of patience to drive firmly and steadily. Just got the urge to go jumpy and do a "s"shape on the road.

About the pink Hello Kitty? I don't know what got into me at that time. When I woke up I am holding the shopping bag in my hand already. Well....we are only young once and it is a great excuse to do some foolish and silly stuff. Never regret and never look back and thus I got myself this ridiculously pink Hello Kitty set. I know I will never have the nerve to dress my car like this ever after this. It is high time I move on from the girly phase. Or maybe this is just me I will forever be like this.

I put some effort into hunting down all the accessories. One by one and try to match them all together. It is not easy job but I had a great time shopping. This is the first time I can buy everything pink pink pink without thinking twice.

The cute comfy kitty cushion in the back of my car.

After 1 and a half month my driving skill has improved a lot and I am really happy about it. Brother always jokes that I will be a terrible driver. Cause I am really good at car racing for video games. I can drift and knock down other cars. Haha. Got to always remember never knock into any car in real life.

Hope Vivi stays well and in good condition.

Up in the Air and I am off to my Holiday.

Suitcases are packed, air ticket in my pocket, cash and cards in my backpack. I guess I am ready to go off soon.

Hello Everyone I am on and off my long-neglected blog again. Guess either I have been very busy or very lazy or just don't feel like sharing my life story and my mini-bias-view-point of the world with everyone. ^^~~~

Just some photos here in case anyone is wondering what do I look like now? My dear friends I am still alive and well.

Me with one of my favourite posting: Surgery.

Up in the air after some time.... I am glad the trip back home is really smooth. Around 10 passengers in a 737. I love MAS, lots of space to stretch my legs. ^^~~

Love the connected transfers and luggage auto transfer to my next flight. Less hassle. Ok I am not here to promote MAS or what, it is just how I feel after long time didn't board MAS. Thanks to everyone can fly AirAsia. There are certainly lots of room for improvement for AA. Guess being back at home on holiday give me some free time to blog at last. Though I did see some of my friends blogging away in campus. This reminds me I seriously need to find a good mini laptop or net book. Soooo....hard to decide which one to buy. But still the big concern is $$$.

Enjoying my transit in KLIA. Spacious, clean, pretty and I love the washroom. ^^.... While traveling to airport and took off on a journey it always give me such a thrill. And especially when it involve air plane!

It is as if we are going on an unknown trip to a mysterious land. Airport always felt like a second home for me. I am personally quite familiar with some airports around Asia. Thanks to fate or my parents I am leading a life that involve lots of traveling since young.

Buy 3 free 1 choco craze!! Horrible temptations but am really glad I managed to fight and kick down the urge to buy any. Happy for myself. After indulging myself on lots of chocolates and cheese cakes this past month....I seriously need to control my diet.

Don't forget we must have a nice shot in the bathroom. Haha. As what everyone is doing now a days. ( taking pic in the washroom). Oh... this reminds me of some girls I know. They are very self conscious about how they appear in the photos. Whenever we are taking any group pic or whatever pic, they will automatically take off glasses and tilt their head to 45 degree, chin down and smile. Maybe that's their best angle but it makes all the photos of theirs all look the same. Kind of boring at the end of the day. I never notice this until one day, some friends and I were taking photos and browsing through Facebook. We made a big discovery ! Some people's photos all appear the same in every group pic, outing pic what ever pic. Just different clothing and with different people. Or else you would have thought it is the same photo.

It start to make me wonder why don't they use contact lenses from the beginning save the trouble to take off the specs. I myself been in love with contact lenses ever since the time I first met them. So ..guys use contact lenses! It brings out the natural you.

My traveling bunny in my backpack. It goes with me wherever I goes. So I don't feel so bored and lonely.

Finally reached home at night around 11.30pm. What a long day. Me with my glasses ( time to sleep) and "Lao Po Bin" Wife biscuit from Taiwan!!! Yummy. A late night snack I stole from the kitchen. I am not suppose to have any snack at night but mummy donno. Haha...

This a complimentary from MAS. I am quite curious about it.

Lala~~ Opened. It is 2 candy balls. According to flight attendant it is suppose to be Deepavali candy. MMmm.....I am not sure how authentic this is but it sure don't suit my taste. I don't quite like it.

    Me the Babysitter -_-

This post is for people who adore cute little kids. Frankly speaking I myself is not those people who go "goo goo ga ga" over babies and cute kiddies. But somehow kids like to stick around me and parents all love to stuff their kids to me. The free babysitter that can ensure safety, entertainment, solve all emergency in case of choking, drowning, injuries what ever. See what a popular babysitter am I. Haha...Sweat................As I already mentioned I am no big fan of babies. Is not that I don't adore them. I do. Just in my own quiet way I take care of them, hug hug them. Not the keep playing silly games with kids type of people that's all.

Anyway, here is my cute chubby little cousin. Yi Xuan. The little Piggy. He was born in the year of Pig. So is truly a Golden Pig.

He complained in his 'manja' voice that he is cold. Weird....in such a hot weather. Anyway I roll up the sleeves of my blue jacket and put it on him. He looks very Cute right??? Hehehe....

Then I taught him how to pose :" Yeah~~~"

I especially love this look. He looks kind of like a tiny prophet who is praying for World Peace.

Me and Little Piggy. He is not a beautiful kid but he is exceptionally adorable. Yi Xuan got a big backside and 2 chubby short legs. He looks so cute that wanna bite him. Haha. I love to smack his butt when his parents are not looking. ( Just for fun~) His backside is so big and bouncy that he appear to be wearing diapers.

Yi Xuan and Whiskey the pampered cat. This holiday so far I have look after........7 kids.... Those mummy and aunties all throw their kids at me and went out shopping.
It is not that I don't want to help but it is really tiring and frustrating some times. Personally I hate noise and kids are just = to noise. I can't even take my eyes off them for 1 min. Cause the next minute they will be climbing on top of the table trying to reach the cat who is on top of the cupboard. Whiskey was bullied so badly by the kids all the time, once he heard the car sound he quickly ran off and hide. Kids favourite game: Hunt Whiskey down and pull at his tail.-_-.........
My poor Whiskey. Then if it is in pain and scratch the kids by trying to defend himself, Whiskey will be called Bad Cat! Lousy Cat! Poor thing.
Kids.........Moving non stop whole day with so much energy to spare that they don't need to rest at all. Take your eyes off them for 1 min, they will be trying to reach for a boiling kettle in the kitchen, destroying your computer by dropping cups of drinks on it, crying loudly and attract attention from their grandparents ( and complaint to them I don't let them go out etc etc).....there are a lot more. My poor eyes and nerves were really strained after one whole day. So worried they will end up in some trouble or serious injury. Some more these are other people's kids, if anything happen how am I suppose to repay them?
Yi Xuan has been becoming more and more naughty each day. He is almost 3 years old by now and extremely naughty. I just don't understand why he just want to go against everything we said or do. Tell him to eat noodle, he said don't want. Tell him sit properly don't stand on chair, he will make a nuisance. He just won't listen and try to do a lot of things which made me boiling inside. Refused to go home, refused to move, refuse to wear shoes , throwing things at people.etc............Wow....it is really tiring to take care of small kids. Anyway I think my level of patience is getting higher and higher. Haha. Good experience? Don't know. But after this I am not really looking forward to have kids my own. Who knows they may turn out to be little naughty kids that push down a TV from the table, burning the fax machine...etc.. Mischievous sometimes is cute but most of the time is headache...........
Good night I feel so much better after complaining a bit. I still love kids dearly and will take good care of them. But I think everyone do need a break from time to time. I don't think I am interested in opening a nursery or kindergarden...........Haha. I salute to all babysitters, nannies, teachers out there. They are great.

    Happy Day!!

Hi guys! The weather here in Sabah is great. Nice bright sunshine before noon, cloudy in the afternoon , thunder storms in the evening and finally end up with a cool windy night.
I was so thrilled that day when i dig out these books in kinokunia. Felt just like the way when pirates dig out treasure box and archaeologist discover a whole new Egyptian tomb. I am over-joyed in possession of these books. These are my food for my thoughts and soul. The source of power that make me not to get mad with some inconsiderate and selfish people. Just put down and let go. Life will be so much the better.

I have gotten here some light readings that no matter how many times you read you are still discovering something new. Travel & Life books by Milly are my favourite。My all time lover: classic English literature. ( lots of my friends do not understand my love all these dry boring stuff. Haha...oh well.) Last but not least my Fav. easy reading comic author^^.
I can' t wait to lie my hands on " good wives" and " Agnes grey". I plan to do lots of casual reading this holiday. ^^~~~ finally got to read something else other than the human body. Now i got time to study the human mind and soul that been governing all our actions since beginning of human race.

Progress my cat scratch: Glue stitch drop off some. Recovering quite well and I will be on the look out and testing for the best scar removing/reducing cream. If anyone know any great products please tell me. Thanks a lot.

p/s: I should stop writing any blog post in the middle of the night. The next morning all my post will be filled with so many mistakes. I will feel so ashamed of them. -__- and guess my frens will be laughing at me...." what crap are u writing?"

    Happy Anniversary for my Blog.

Happy Anniversary to My Blog!! It is Two Years old.

Wow! Time really pass by really really FAST!

I didn't even notice it till just now when I saw my visitor counter : Since April 2008. There are lots of ups and downs and this blog was opened and closed several times. Page layout changed, everything changed. Except the visitor count, me and my cats. Haha.

Haha. Kat Kat is really handy somethings to help display my things. Recently bought 2 new books. Oxford Handbook of clinical medicine 8th edition: this is edition is really much improved and worth buying. I love all the new pictures and new layouts. ^^~~~ Sometimes it is even call the bible for some in wards.

    The famous " sunflower" paediatrics book~~~ ^^ ~~~

My new bag bag from warehouse. Love it. So nice to carry around.

I haven't start on the "My life in France", however I have finished : "Making rounds with Oscar" by DR David Dosa in 2 days time. You can google for pictures of Oscar online. It is a really cute tabby cat. ^^~~~~ At first i thought it is a book about Oscar the cat and the doctor. But actually it is more like a book about the doctor and his experience with advanced dementia patient and their families. By trying to find out more about the mysterious 'talent' of Oscar, the doctor get to understand more about how the patient and families deal with the diseases. This is written by Dr David Dosa who works in nursing and rehabilitation center, specialize in geriatrics. A very touching book. It helps me to learn more about life, death, how people view diseases and how they struggle through it. At the end of the day the big great names we all try to help label our patients through diagnosis does not matter at all. It is about how one can live on with their own life after having the disease. How long will I live? Can I walk? Can I talk? Will I remember my name ?
etc............It give me a better picture about medicine. What you read in text book is all: disease presentation, clinical features, pathophysiology, treatment, management, investigation. Nothing about what will affect the patient's life and family. What we can do is use our imagination and relate oh...if patient got below knee amputation:.....can he drive? There are still a lot to learn and explore.

What I like best is the last line in this book: by the way, at the end of my days. I prefer the cat over ICU. Apparently Oscar is also very popular online. I have read about him some month ago in some news about this special cat who can tell when someone is going to die soon. There maybe scientific explanation for how the cat can detect death but I prefer to think the cat is a special angel for accompany the family at the end.

The bracelet i got con into buying. It is written 50% off....and I didn't know till I am paying that the price tag on it is AFTER discount. RM50...vomit blood.

I never realize there is a face on the shirt...........till I am home..-_-

    GAP GAP GAP..
I am Mad so I shop Gap... my first Gap shopping....and end up.......hahaha..............

Mum gonna ask why I have paint on my pants. She will not think it is a nice piece of art.

    Haha

    Boring hair curling moment.

New petite macaroon for my hp decoration. Simply love the cute expression.

    Loveholic~

Hehehe...Enjoying my new book. I love book stores, they are like heaven to me. A great fountain of energy source. One of these days I am heading down to Kinokuniya again
