Let me pierce your heart with arrows of Love.

My Childhood best friend. Mr William. Anyway we just call him Ah L.....Seems like nick names were really popular back in old school days. Neh... I won't review what was my nicknames :P.

We were the typical childhood best friends. He is the first friend I met in Malaysia back when we were 7-8 years old. That's like wow....really a long long time ago. Guess we both haven't change much on appearance except grow much taller. We used to be always in the same school, same class, sit next to each other, same tuition center, live right next door. I wonder if I never move away, will we be the typical high school sweet hearts since we grew up together in the same small town. Haha... I am Thankful I have a tall, handsome, young, cute childhood best friend to boost about. :P

But this guy really has a thing for staying young. He can easily pass off as a 18 yrs old when he is 20 something.

We met up and had a go at Archery. Coz...we planned to watch some movie that night but who knows.................All cinemas full, all seats fully booked. Weird.........-_-............. No movie to watch. Sucks! I planned to watch Sherlock Holmes that night. Sad sad sad.....................

    Step by Step of Archery.
    Rule and Regulations.
We were give some gloves and protective gears to wear. Looks nice.

That's me with my mad hair. It was really hot that day. Wow....I do look really happy.

The technique: Left hand hold the bow firmly and steady. Right hand take an arrow, place it on to the string. Pull it back with max strength to ur eyes. AIm and shot.
Do not move ur left hand at all. But that stupid Bow I have is so heavy that I need to rest a while every few mins.

    Pizza pizza. Late night snack.

    Hungry guy Yummy.

And I am drunk on a glass of Long Island Iced tea. Yummy............... I love it. It is really nice. I am thinking of trying out a few more different types of cocktails.

I think due to lack of sleep...I really got a bit drunk that night. Thank God all I do is sleep when I get drunk.

New Bling Bling for New year.

What's the best way to get new stuff when your purse is empty? DIY and searching through store by store for cheap stuff is the way to go.

New year is here, every company's advertisement are fighting like mad with each other over the TV. New handphones, new fashion, new bags, new everything. I am salivating over all the delicious new gadgets. So shiny so pretty. But too bad...it is not a good idea to get a new gadget when your old one is still in great condition. Thus....Glam it up with crystals!

Shiny crystals on your hp. How?

    Basically there are 3 ways:
    1. Go to the nearest store or pasar malam fine a ready crystal sticker. Cut it stick it. Apply transparent nail polish for the finishing look.
    2. Buy your own crystals and stick it on by yourselves. ( a great pain)
    3. Go to the stall and ask someone stick on any design you like.

    Shiny shiny pink hearts.

I felt like I just got a brand new hp to carry around. ^^~~~ happy happy.
I know I didn't do a great job but I tried my best. The result is not too bad. U can just get this at pasar malam for RM5. So much cheaper and nicer than some I have seen selling in Shopping Malls which cost like Rm12. This is just plastic crystals, it won't shine as nice as the glass ones but still it shines. ^^~

Tiffany's Experimental Kitchen: Stuffed Curry Sotong

Lala~ Here comes another one of weekend experiments. Stuffed Curry Sotong.
Ingredient: Curry ready pack, coconut milk, vegetables of your choice or what ever that suits curry, sotongs ( best to be smaller, it turn out this time when I use the bigger sotongs the meat end up very tough), tiny prawns or rice ( this is for stuffing up the inside of sotong).

1st: Cook curry sauce ready, make sure it is thicker and flavor is stronger ( as we will be having it with rice) throw the prawns in or rice in to get the flavor. Cook for some time.

Here I use the prawns as stuffings. For convenience sake I bought the ready shelled tiny prawns. But didn't know it smell so fishy............ -_-

    The Veges ^^~
    Sotongs.
Cut out the eyes. Ok....I am not the one doing it so don't ask me how. I will just chop the head off.... who cares about those yucks eye balls. It is still a terror to me to prepare the meats ready for cooking. I always have to breath in deeply and get myself mentally ready to cut any meats up. That's why i always choose those ready pack pieces. Somehow I don't really dare to handle the whole animal. Part of it is fine with me. At one time the feeling is so great I almost want to be a vegetarian permanently.

Wash and clean the sotong inside and out. Put in the prawns that was cooking in the curry just now. Here is the trick for the sotong to look really cute and let your guest wonder how you stuff the fillings in.
The important part is: Dig out the eye ball and after stuffing the prawns into the sotong attach the tangles back and pin it in place with a tooth pick. Cooking the sotong and veges in the curry sauce. There is no need to add any water as we put in quite a lot of veges. Add salt and sugar according to taste.

Here it is ready to be eaten. After cooking the sotong will shrink and looks turgid.

Tiffany: the home maker in training. Haha... I just love to shop and cook for my love ones. Just think of the smiling faces on their face when they come home. I like the simple joy of life.

    Pasar Tamu in Sabah.

Malaysia is a great tropical country with abundant natural resources and nice people ( especially in the kampung areas) Though we stay near the Pasar Tamu but it is still very fascinating to see some of these rare harvest the indigenous people selling. Once a week they brought it all down from the mountains to flat land to sell.

So join me in a little tour of a market shopping. Below photos are all taken by my lousy HP cam
but I am quite happy with the quality. It is still clear and not too blur. I know it can't be compare with those fine cameras but it is convenient: First stall we saw is Yam.

This market is very special. It sell a lot of weird stuff that we never see in the Super markets. Not only that, they have professional traditional music players there for the whole day. While you are shopping you can hear the faint soothing musics floating into your ears. Personally I do not know what exactly do they play but it seems like some drums and gongs.

Different types of local Sabah rice which is very colourful and very expensive. A lot of people said this type of rice is extra nutritious (-_-) Oh well....who knows.

    Some local ladies.
Grandpapa and Maid. He is the most knowledgeable and wise old man i ever know. I love to stay around him. He is like a walking encyclopedia. He taught me a lot of valuable life experiences.
I just wonder how the stall sellers keep those fish fresh without ice.

Flowers of banana tree. I always wonder what is it for.

We bought quite a lot of this. very delicious.

This is what people call " mountain durians". I am not sure what is the difference but the sharp ends just appear longer and sharper than the usual ones. Grandpa said it don't taste as nice. so....

    White yellowish chilies.

Tiny fishes on sale in bags. For fun or pet or other function?

    Live fishes.
Notice the reddish fruits at the center of the photo? I seriously do not know what they are.

    Fish...
    Tiny fragrant orchid.
Great way for helping the world by reducing use of plastic. Wrap stuff in leaves.

    Dry fishes

White stuff that is use to make wine ...Till today i still wonder what is it exactly.

Grandpa never know that I am taking photos.

Huge tree. I just love trees and shades.

Interesting fruits. Though I did ask the sellers what are they but due to language problem......Still can't understand what is it.

Me and grandpa on the way home. yeah~~~

p/s: I am sleepy....will update more soon. I have been neglecting my blog for a long long time as I am just not in the mood.

    GoodBye 2009, Hello 2010.

    Happy 2010!!!
Hope this year will be a great sweet year for everyone! Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you will get. But I do. I know I am getting MeltyKisses. Haha

2009 had been a hectic year, a lot of things have happened. I felt kind of depressed about it as I am so "up-tight" all the time. I felt maybe it is really time to let my hair down and just go wild. Maybe that's also why I love my short hair now. I can "fling" it and shake it like a rock star without eating my own hair all the time. Haha.

2010. Honestly a coming new year did not bring as much thrill as it does when I was a kid. Life has become more serious and a lot of things needed to be focus on. Since meeting up with some good old friends who are now spread out all over the globe. ( Seriously it is kind of sad.....) Talking with them is really thought provoking. It opens up my mind and views about the world and people in general.

Thanks to dear Mozie....I think I am in love with wine again. Maybe beer is fine sometimes. (But I still keep my rules about drinking.) It really made me feel like I am such nun when my friends are shouting:"You should let your hair down. Loosen up a bit. It is just US. Drink up. "

Thanks to my cheerful friends I am able to look ahead to the Great new Year with more optimism. Hello Tiger. Hope you bring with you lots of good luck and great flow in life.
