    Mount Kota Kinabalu

Hello everyone. After so many years.......I finally managed to visit Mt. KK once again! Ok... I didn't make it to the top or what. We just got to the foot and look and enjoy its great beauty. I am so glad I stay in such a beautiful place. The blue blue sea with white sand beach is 15mins drive away and Mt KK is so near. I am just like on vacation everyday. ( indeed I am too~)

Hi~ everyone~Long time never see my face. Ha. This is before I got scratch by that cat...Anyway there is nothing serious just kind of annoyed by that fact.

Glad that the hotel room looked comfy and warm. Hotel room rates compare to last time are now sky-high. Sigh....when will economic be good again?

After checked in to the hotel we are all so excited and can't wait to get out into the 'wild' to enjoy the cool environment. The air is fresh, the wind is cool and refreshing, the view is magnificent! I am so in love with KK. It has the right temperature, great scenery and not too rural with just enough advancement. Without too much trouble you still can find things that you need around here. Though may not be able to find some fine processed items but still can get by with it.

The little jungle walk beside the hotel.

    Lalala~~~
What we found on the way! Pine cones on the forest floor. They are so cute and perfect I can't resist take them home for decoration. Imaging Christmas in the hot summer heat. We do have sort of cooler season in Tropicals too. The rainy season where everyday rain rain rain and we get to enjoy a bit of chilliness in the air.

Pretty flowers that brighten up your day! Felt really bad we don't have enough time for more flower farm, butterfly farm visits.

We decided to wonder around and have a look at Poring Hot spring. Mistaken by the sound of the name, I always thought it is 'POURING hot spring'. Ha...It does look much better than I expected. Well organized, clean, nicely set in the deep forest. Around 1 km away from the hot spring we start to smell something like rotten egg in the air. That's the sign you are getting near a hot spring. Whenever the word hot spring came into mind always reminds me of Japan, snow and a bunch of red-faced monkeys dipping themselves in it. Haha. However the Sabah, Malaysia is kind of different from that image. For people from temperate countries with hot springs I seriously don't recommend anyone going. It is a boring hot spring not worth the time and effort but a great get-away for the locals for a change.

The CAUTION! Super hot spring that can boil and cook you alive! In Taiwan hot spring recreational areas always sell eggs for people to cook in the boiling hot spring for fun. I remembered standing on rocks with great smoke coming out from the grounds. I will post some pics on my vocation to Taiwan later. Been kind of " physically free but mentally occupied" sort of busy all this while.

My mum, auntie and grandpa taking a adventurous dip in the hot spring dipping pool. There are pools in various sizes. Some like this is a huge pool, got other smaller pools u can adjust the water temperature to ur liking. Steaming hot water pouring out so becareful!

MY feet! The water is sort of warm. Not too hot, just nice and comfy. I love it. We were so tempted to dip our whole body inside. Warm warm nice water. It was a really relaxing afternoon, enjoying the nice cool weather, lazing around the little pool. Life is a bliss. Wished we had some drinks at the side. Too bad we wasn't really prepared to dip in the hot spring. Thought of just sigh-seeing thus didn't get ready any stuff. There were lots of tourist there too, especially some hot caucasian guys with nice toned muscles. Eh... this makes me sound like some deprived sort of person. Anyway you have to admit some how they got more quality guys to stare at. Life is NOT fair.

walked around 1 hour with my aunt to reach this scenary by canopy walk through. Quite worth it after all the hard walk of brisk walking.

    Mount Kota Kinabalu

Pardon me this is all taken by my hp cam....quality wise so and so.

Fat squirrel at Mt KK park. Guess lots of tourist also have been feeding them. They are very friendly not shy towards strangers and will come forward to take any food u gave them. Haha.CUte little furry things.

    Entrance to the mysterious mountain.

At the bottom of Mt KK there is a little museum sort of thing that you can find out all about MT KK. The natural resource, rocks, animal, habitat, people who stay there. etc...

Grandpapa telling us this is what he had during his early hunting days in Sabah. Lots of wild animals to see.

    Birdie.

Below are a few more pictures from the musuem. Enjoy~~

Rafflesia... really rare now adays. Mum told me she had seen a real one years ago in INdonesia. Really stinky. Smell like decomposed body. Plainly: rotten smell. How amazing this world is. Such a great beautiful flower with such a smell. Weird.

    Grandpa observing some insects.

    worms and insects.
Types of rock that can be found in MT KK.

Last but not least let us enjoy the beautiful Mt. KK again. I am always so fascinated by its magnificent beauty. All of this are taken from hotel window.

Ok. I have been kind of though there is nothing much to it but I am on the move again. Tomorrow I am off to Sandakan for a 3 days 2 night trip. So see ya.....I will try to finish my post on Taiwan Trip asap too. Friends were asking....what have u been doing in Taiwan? Eat, shop, sleep and eat more. Haha..

    Happy Day!!

Hi guys! The weather here in Sabah is great. Nice bright sunshine before noon, cloudy in the afternoon , thunder storms in the evening and finally end up with a cool windy night.
I was so thrilled that day when i dig out these books in kinokunia. Felt just like the way when pirates dig out treasure box and archaeologist discover a whole new Egyptian tomb. I am over-joyed in possession of these books. These are my food for my thoughts and soul. The source of power that make me not to get mad with some inconsiderate and selfish people. Just put down and let go. Life will be so much the better.

I have gotten here some light readings that no matter how many times you read you are still discovering something new. Travel & Life books by Milly are my favourite。My all time lover: classic English literature. ( lots of my friends do not understand my love all these dry boring stuff. Haha...oh well.) Last but not least my Fav. easy reading comic author^^.
I can' t wait to lie my hands on " good wives" and " Agnes grey". I plan to do lots of casual reading this holiday. ^^~~~ finally got to read something else other than the human body. Now i got time to study the human mind and soul that been governing all our actions since beginning of human race.

Progress my cat scratch: Glue stitch drop off some. Recovering quite well and I will be on the look out and testing for the best scar removing/reducing cream. If anyone know any great products please tell me. Thanks a lot.

p/s: I should stop writing any blog post in the middle of the night. The next morning all my post will be filled with so many mistakes. I will feel so ashamed of them. -__- and guess my frens will be laughing at me...." what crap are u writing?"

    A Series of Unfortunate Events

It has been a really long while since I write anything in my blog. Though some people ask me why. I think I will answer :" As it is holiday, I do have a life out of the blogging world."
I realize that sharing about your life on blog and enjoying your life out there is a totally different thing. I saw many people are so busy taking pictures, thinking up what to post on their blog, twitter, Facebook etc. They don't really enjoy ' the moment' when they are at something. Like going on a tour, outing or dinner etc . I saw them so busy posing, clicking cameras, collecting informations about the places they have been. They forgot to sit down, sniff in the air and enjoy the moment. This may not be true for all but surely for some.

There are so much out there in the REALworld.

A series of unfortunate events has affected my happy holiday mood a tiny bit. A daily reminder of it just keep biting in my face -_-............

There are just too many things to worry about and ..........I really donno somehow I have to settle everything myself. And I am not having a smooth time out of it. Maybe it is just the way life is. I don't feel like complaining too much about it. Just try my best to deal with it. All these things are worrying me so much that I became so absent minded!!!!!!!
End up getting choked on fish bone for the first time in my life. Horrible experience. It is a real pain in the throat! I think my oesophagus was injured a bit。 Everything I swallowed I can feel this tiny sharp pain. Luckily that XXX fish bone did went down without me needing to go see any doctor to get it out. Thank God for that.

That day before dinner time, I was busy calling people up and thinking about how to settle so many things. My mind wonder off again and I pick my cat the wrong way up. Whiskey's powerful craws accidentally sank into my cheek and my lip just like that in a flash.

The pain was instant followed by numbness and taste of blood in my mouth. I got scratch by my cat on my face for the FIRST time in my life. What a lot of 'firsts' in one day.

So this is poor little me. I got a real fright that night. While trying to keep myself calm and not cry out. I quickly dab my face to stop the bleeding. My brother came t rescue with a bottle of magic potion thta work wonders for stoppage of blood ( basically and minor wounds).
ididn't realize there were some scratch on my arm too. I accidentally rub some onto my face while I try to wipe my face clean. Result: bloody face. My brother stare at me in shock.... I must have really looked real bad.

Rushed through dinner of which I barely eat. We jumped onto the car and speed off to ur family doctor. He helped me clean up my wound and applied some glue stitch, something like a instant glue.

I wonder is there any other options for a scar-free treatment? As soon as my wounds are healed i am going to look for some vit E cream or whatever thats available right now.

so sad......so many things just keep happening to me that I am seriously having a hard time trying to deal with all of them.
    sob...........wish i can just sleep.

    My New Baby kiss kiss

Hello everyone, I have been as usual 'very busy' all the time. But I still take sometime off to do a little typing here and share what I am up to recently. This is the latest and one of my most treasured possessions: HTC HD2 . I am still thinking up a name for it. Haven't decide yet.

You can find out more information about this baby online and everywhere...so I am not going to talk much about its specifications and all. One thing I am really proud of is it is from Taiwan. Always support your own country's product. Anyway most IT items from Taiwan anyway. Haha.

Open~ Wow...Bling...It felt kind of huge at first but after a few days I am totally used to it and find my old hp kind of small. Haha.

The leather casing that does not come with the pda. My uncle told me Taiwan is cheaper....but still..............sigh.........This leather pouch cost RM90...heart ache. This month is a total wallet bleeding month.

This baby is just exactly as what ever is said on the net. And the more I touch it the more I am in love with it. Though basically it is still just a PDA and nothing amazing. Still.....it is very pretty and got lots of nice stuff in it. Hopefully this baby will survive long enough.

All in all I am very very happy with everything about this baby. ^^~~ yeah. I am going to learn how to utilize it better. Now I can email and do a lot of stuff at various wifi points. ^^

Oh well.apparently the fact his daughter is a future seer who can foresee the future took care of his finance and vampires don't need to eat and never get sick. That really reduces a lot of expenses too.

I am glad one of my favourite Mickey characters are in the Rich list and on No.2 !! Actually this list is really amazing and unexpected. even Chuck Bass is on it too. Wowowow........seems like the recent fictional characters are getting richer and richer when compare to the last decade. I am kind of envious of their riches. Money can not buy everything but without money you can never buy anything. haha. It must be really joyful t sit in a pile of GOLD coins. ^^~~~ Just for fun.

Alice had me lost in the Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favourtie childhood story books. I love all the classic stories books from the libraty. ^^~ They used to be a source of knowledge for the world of unknown world and great adventures to fantasy land. Like Unlike Alice who is bored with everything around her, I am too fascinated by everything and through my childish eyes I see the Wonderland. This new movie by Tim Burton : Alice in Wonderland is truly a new master piece I enjoyed enormously. Sadly...................................

As my friends like to say :" You seem to be living in the world of a series of unfortunate events." Somehow or other I always encounter such things. After hearing my story my friend even laughed that it sounds like something from a funny comic book. -_-.............

So what happened? On the quest to watch the "Alice" movie, ( some friends were there and they would know what I mean). It seems like there are just so many obstacles on the way to prevent me from watching "Alice". So far I can remember there are 5:

    1. First time wanted to watch: I watched another movie instead, the " How to train your own dragon." Because everyone wanted to watch the Dragon instead of "Alice".

    2. 2nd time tried to watch again while we are right outside the cinema, some emergency happened and I need to settle it............

    3. 3rd attempt, been too busy and finally got time and chance to watch : Wrong timing all the time. As the movie been on for a while, the timing are all not so good anymore. That day was too late 11.15pm...and seriously I would like to get home before that.

    4. By after a few weeks when I finally free to watch there is no one to watch with me. Everyone have watched it or not interested. Poor me.........I thought : " fine...maybe I will never be able to watch in cinema but maybe from online or dvd."

    5. Friday: Happy Day! Finally got the right time, right people, right place to watch, even the right seats in cinema to watch "Alice". I was so excited!! 2 unbelievable things happened:

I just fall ASLEEP half way through the movie!! Though friend keep trying to keep me awake but I think I still sleep for 1/5 of the show. I do not know how could this happened. And the movie was from 6.45pm-8pm like that........

2nd thing: Half way through the movie the film stuck twice and we waited for 15mins or so for it to come back again. -_-.............

So you see, even whne I finally get to watch it, so many things happened. It is as there is something with me and the movie. It is like Jinx or what.

I love the teaparty Alice and mad Hatter enjoyed. they are just totally mad and fun~

All the characters in the movie is even better and more amazing than the original story. The red Queen is Mad and cruel. The White Queen is beautiful, mythical and " Siao siao " --> as Hokkien says. Ok..got to go to bed, it is really late............

    ZzzZZZZZzzzz yawn..sleppy.

    Happy Anniversary for my Blog.

Happy Anniversary to My Blog!! It is Two Years old.

Wow! Time really pass by really really FAST!

I didn't even notice it till just now when I saw my visitor counter : Since April 2008. There are lots of ups and downs and this blog was opened and closed several times. Page layout changed, everything changed. Except the visitor count, me and my cats. Haha.

Haha. Kat Kat is really handy somethings to help display my things. Recently bought 2 new books. Oxford Handbook of clinical medicine 8th edition: this is edition is really much improved and worth buying. I love all the new pictures and new layouts. ^^~~~ Sometimes it is even call the bible for some in wards.

    The famous " sunflower" paediatrics book~~~ ^^ ~~~

My new bag bag from warehouse. Love it. So nice to carry around.

I haven't start on the "My life in France", however I have finished : "Making rounds with Oscar" by DR David Dosa in 2 days time. You can google for pictures of Oscar online. It is a really cute tabby cat. ^^~~~~ At first i thought it is a book about Oscar the cat and the doctor. But actually it is more like a book about the doctor and his experience with advanced dementia patient and their families. By trying to find out more about the mysterious 'talent' of Oscar, the doctor get to understand more about how the patient and families deal with the diseases. This is written by Dr David Dosa who works in nursing and rehabilitation center, specialize in geriatrics. A very touching book. It helps me to learn more about life, death, how people view diseases and how they struggle through it. At the end of the day the big great names we all try to help label our patients through diagnosis does not matter at all. It is about how one can live on with their own life after having the disease. How long will I live? Can I walk? Can I talk? Will I remember my name ?
etc............It give me a better picture about medicine. What you read in text book is all: disease presentation, clinical features, pathophysiology, treatment, management, investigation. Nothing about what will affect the patient's life and family. What we can do is use our imagination and relate oh...if patient got below knee amputation:.....can he drive? There are still a lot to learn and explore.

What I like best is the last line in this book: by the way, at the end of my days. I prefer the cat over ICU. Apparently Oscar is also very popular online. I have read about him some month ago in some news about this special cat who can tell when someone is going to die soon. There maybe scientific explanation for how the cat can detect death but I prefer to think the cat is a special angel for accompany the family at the end.

The bracelet i got con into buying. It is written 50% off....and I didn't know till I am paying that the price tag on it is AFTER discount. RM50...vomit blood.

I never realize there is a face on the shirt...........till I am home..-_-

    GAP GAP GAP..
I am Mad so I shop Gap... my first Gap shopping....and end up.......hahaha..............

Mum gonna ask why I have paint on my pants. She will not think it is a nice piece of art.

    Haha

    Boring hair curling moment.

New petite macaroon for my hp decoration. Simply love the cute expression.

    Loveholic~

Hehehe...Enjoying my new book. I love book stores, they are like heaven to me. A great fountain of energy source. One of these days I am heading down to Kinokuniya again
