Otaku? Fujoshi? Geek Chic?

Brother is calling himself otaku and named me one as well since I am same as him except I am studying for exam.

So what is otaku?

御宅族（おたく：otaku）』 has been 'real hot' these years among the Japan, Korean, Hong Kong and Taiwan. ( maybe even China personally I am not too sure.) This word 'Otaku' is appearing more and more often in newspapers, writings and incooperated in to everyday living.

Otaku (おたく/オタク) is a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and video games.

In modern Japanese slang, the term otaku refers to a fan of any particular theme, topic, or hobby. Common uses are anime otaku (a fan of anime ), cosplay otaku and manga otaku (a fan of Japanese comic books), pasokon otaku (personal computer geeks), gēmu otaku (playing video games), and wota (pronounced 'ota', previously referred to as "idol otaku") that are extreme fans of idols, heavily promoted singing girls. There are also tetsudō otaku or denshamania (railfans) or gunji otaku (military geeks).


The English Version:

Geek chic refers to the embracing of stereotypically unpopular "geek" characteristics such as glasses, comic books, and computer games.

It is highly debatable whether this trend actually means that "real geeks" are more popular than they were previously, or if it merely represents a superficial addition of "nerdy" elements to current fashion trends. Many elements that arguably define "geekiness", such as varying degrees of social awkwardness, mathematical ability, strong interest in science and/or science fiction and fantasy, and varying degrees of disinterest in one's personal appearance, remain unfashionable.

Whether it is Otaku or Geek, now adays more and more people are this way.
Apart from the typical otaku guys crazy about their anime and girl idols. Modern day there is new evolved
otaku girls. When outside or working in office they are pretty, fashionable, presentable, funny, out going but......
once they are home..... They will be wearing specs, hairdbands, anyhow wear anything, sit in from of computer more than 5 hours aday,
eat in from of computer, play onlinegames. If there is nothing special they won't go out. Thanks to the modern day : skype, msn , yahoo messeger,
online shopping, online banking, online delivery to home. There is no reason to go out at all.

Taiwan even made a TV show about otaku artist. Even the F4 members also confessed they are just like that.
Unless there is work to do or else they will be stuck at home.

Conclusion:
One word: Lazy and..........Looks like ME!!! Hahaha. No wonder my brother said I am one.
I simply don't care about my out look when I am at home. So guys don't bother about webcam with me.
Oh ya that's not the reason it is spoilt. It just think I look too horrible and pass out maybe. Haha.

Ok. This only limits to when i am staying alone. If I am at home with family I will be the ever-presentable
looking princess. As lots of visitors always come by any time of the day and I need to come down
stairs to greet and entertain them.

Why they are like this?
No need to make up, no body can see and for 'fang bian'. Easy accessible convenient. ^^~
What about boy friends?
Well...at first will be a bit tough. But sooner or later the 2 couples will be going out less and less.
Start to cook instant noodle or take outs at home. Watch anime, movie or play online games at
home.

So girls, actually i know a lot of us girls looks more or else just like that. U should see the girls hostel. Open ur room door at night, what do u see walking around in the corridor and bathroom? Hot sexy girls with long flowing hair in super sexy hot pants and see through tops?
Oh yes. Guys are right about see through tops and sleeveless --> lazy to wear bra as it is uncomfortable to wear push up all day long. Sleeveless --> can pluck axillary hair. Hahahaha . Scary truth of which I had seen in hostel. Hot pants---> yes. weather very hot. Other than that you can discover something call face mask: white, black, green, orange, cucumber , egg whites. Whatever u can name. Hair is not long flowing but all tied up in weird buns with crumcy or clips.

Me? I am not as bad as some of those girl. I wear t-shirt, short pants, hair band, no specs. ^^~
