Turn Back the Clock. Reviving the Old School Days.

Uniform, white socks, white shoes, school bag, school badge, black straight hair, school bell, track field, net ball, national anthem, individual desk, white board/black board, teacher, principal, canteen, science lab, library, classroom, corridor and under that shady tree.

I attended a Christian high school which used to be a girls school in the past. Somehow in a co-ed school I ended up being in the one and only girls-class. No complains. It was better that way. We girls had a lot of fun.

Suddenly just kind of miss the carefree, reckless, simple high school days where I had to wear uniform. It was easier then no worry about what to wear everyday. In those days I don't understand why the girls like to shorten and tighten their skirts or pull up their school socks. It is just a waste of time and effort. Everyday there will be a spot check conducted. They will be forced to buy a new one right on the spot and change. -_-.....Our school rules are pretty tight compare to now a days where now u can even dye your hair ( single dark colour), girls can let down your hair etc. I remember our school rules filled up one whole booklet. Hair for girls, no dying, no perm, no shave bald, can use only 1 colour of hair band or ribbon : black or dark blue. Fringe must be above eye brow or they will cut it there for u on the spot. Our times even earrings will be restricted to plain gold or silver that's it nothing else. Our school has something kind of unusual, special school socks with school logo on it.

Talking about school rules reminds me of my good friend's convent school. Theirs is kind of crazy. In the sense that in such a tropical hot country ( Malaysia), the girls are instructed to wear petticoat under their uniform!!! I am like: "WHAT??? I never even see one before? Where do u buy it? Tailor made?? "

For those who never heard of petticoat it is old fashioned inner skirt for woman. Remember those days before World War 2 where the western woman are walking around like wearing up side down umbrellas? Underneath it u need layers of petticoat to support and bring up the whole structure to make the skirt appear full. It came in various colours most commonly is white. U wear it first then put your dress over it. I never wear such a thing before. Though my poor friend said she got to wear a thinner version everyday for her school days. That's crazy....the material for school uniform is thick enough. You can not see through at all!!! And from what i can see the uniform skirts are all below knee...Unless it is typhoon or else no matter how the wind blow also won't show anything.

About my two braids, believe it or not. This is what I am forced by my mum to tie everyday for school. My classmate can tell you I am the one and only one having such a hair style. Mum thought I look very nice with this hairstyle. She has been strongly influenced by Japanese and Taiwanese cultures. I am not too sure about China but somehow their way of tying the braids is pretty different.

OMG...this pic really looks like when I was 16-17 then. We had to wear coat for special functions. Like graduation, Christmas, national day etc.. High school.....Net ball, debates, competition, sports day, sun, rain, sweat, tears and lots of friends and one or two crushes.

I was struck by the idea to dress up as high school girl after seeing a Japanese high school uniform pic which reminds me a lot of my old school days.
I like this picture a lot. Looks just like of those in my year book. Except we wear ties instead of ribbons and our coat is dark blue. I felt kind of shy dressing up like this again. The person in the mirror in front of me seems unfamiliar. Somehow I can not believe that at 20+++ After graduating so many years from high school I can still look about the same.

High school days was sweet and memorable. It is a place for you to meet life long friends.

So everyone what do you think? Is it my own narcissistic illusion or I can really bluff people that I am a 17-18 years old school kid. Haha~~

I search through my closet for the perfect out-fit. ^^~ I am really glad to find the set I am wearing in the pic below:

White shirt + Black jacket + ribbon + school skirt + school bag.

My hp camera is kind of blur........-_-

The good school girl look. I love this.
This post is basically for me to enjoy looking at myself playing dressing up. Maybe everyone can try find their old school uniform. Can u still fit into them??? :P
