    Taiwan Trip 2008 (2)

    28.9.08
There are so many interesting small things that's different from Malaysia. For example, this:
I seldom see such things around here.

Went to my uncle's place. This is the typical Taiwanese Altar which almost all my relatives have one in their house. My grandma one is even bigger and more elaborate.
'Ba Gua' clock? Looks really cool.

' oh ah mee suah' My favourite dish. It is almost one of the best things I have ever tasted. Saliva dripping... Oh How I miss this.
Meat 'ball' and fish ball soup. That meat 'ball' is wrapped inside a type of chewy kuih. Too delicious. You got to try it yourself to know what I mean. But then again, there are so many Taiwanese little snacks that not many people like. Not used to the taste.

The Famous Night market in Taiwan. The night never dies.
Chewy tasty rice in piggy's intestine plus sweet salty sauce. Yummy yummy~

Eh........ People don't freak out! I did not slaughter someone and ordering their internal organs for sashimi. They are for cooking later on. Great place to buy your samples for study of anatomy.

One of the famous temples around the corner.

Rainy season everyone carrying umbrella. Typhoon has just gone by. Those few days were really scary. Just imagine a strong shower keep pouring down on you with the help of super strong wind from every where. That was a great experience, fun, exciting and dangerous at the same time. i wore a thick rain coat and went out to buy food supply right before the typhoon hits. Think I won't try it any time soon. Too dangerous. The motor bikes stop by the road side. All shops were closed except a few. TV news keep reporting No class, No work for everyone. Bus, raiway, MRT, train all stop. We were so scaried our glass window pane might break as what happened to the McD down the street. Their huge glass door shattered due to strong wind.

The Famous ' 3 brothers' specialize in ' ice sweets'. Ice red bean, green bean, peanut, 'tou hua' , fruits. etc.
this is the main shop in Kee Lung.

I ordered hearts in pearls. The pearls has a red bean each in them. Really tasty. Special pearl which is different from the normal pearl tea.

Me with Doraemon my favourite cartoon character. I grew up with it. Doraemon is the very first science fiction I know. It trigger my mind and broaden my imaginations.

This is equivalent to Malaysia 'mamee'. This is science mee. LOL.

need to cursh the mee inside too. Super unhealthy childhood snacks.

This is the Japanese room I sleep in. In Taiwan almost every family has a Japanese room. It is really useful when there are house guests. Super easy to up keep. Suitable for all occasions. My house also has one too. Cool to sleep in summer and warm in winter.

See the window and the ceiling lamp. Very Japanese right???

The new Japanese sliding door is covered with plastic while the old one we had at home was really plastered with paper. My brother and I were really naughty, we poke the paper doors and destroy the beautiful paper when we were young. Mum almost fried us alive as it was really expensive( imported from japan).
Eye candies~ Taiwanese girls with fair fair legs. Happy that shorts are IN. ^^~~
The younger generations in Taiwan as I observed: the teenage boys to young guys a lot of them are skin and bones, teenage girls are anorexic.....Around 60-70% i saw on the street are so skinny...I am almost the fattest when compare to them. Sigh....fashionable? I prefer healthy, athletic style. Slim with nice toned muscles.

    To be continued....
